A monitoring system is for a well stream from a hydrocarbon well with seawater injection. The monitoring system includes a sample receiving system, a sample preparation system, an analyzing system, and a pressure control and measurement system. The monitoring system is connectable to a sample point for receiving a sample of the well stream. The sample receiving system includes a fluid conduit connectable for fluid communication with the sample point, and a separator for separating a water fraction from the sample. The sample preparation system includes a filter for filtering the water fraction. The analyzing system includes an x-ray fluorescence analyzer for measurement of a concentration of at least one of dissolved elements Fe, Ba, Ca, S, Cl, P, Cu, Zn, Pb, Br or scale inhibitor tracers in the sample. The pressure control and measurement system is connected to the sample receiving system or the sample preparation system.

System for optimization of hydrocarbon production

A cyclone separator for separating a fluid into a gas phase and a liquid phase. The cyclone separator includes a vertically oriented vessel with a gas phase outlet at an upper end of the vessel and a liquid phase outlet at a lower end of the vessel; at least one tangentially oriented fluid inlet at the upper end below the gas phase outlet of the vessel; a liquid extractor extracting liquid through the liquid phase outlet at a rate which forms a bulk liquid phase at the lower end of the vessel; and a gas extractor extracting gas through the gas phase outlet. The cyclone separator has at least one flow velocity deflector located at a level in proximity to the bulk liquid-gas interphase which changes the vertical velocity component of a liquid film travelling down the internal wall of the vessel to a horizontally oriented velocity component.

Method for separating gas and liquid and cyclone separators therefore

A method and system for purification of a pressurized gas stream, wherein the method includes in a first absorption step bringing the pressurized gas stream in direct contact with a first absorption solution absorbing at least part of the acidic gases, in the gas stream obtaining a gas liquid mixture; and separating the gas liquid mixture in a partly purified pressurized gas stream and a first rich absorption solution. In a second downstream absorption step bringing the partly purified pressurized gas in contact with a second absorption solution through a membrane contactor, obtaining a second rich absorption solution and a purified pressurized gas stream. The first absorption solution is a partially lean absorption solution.

Method and system for gas purification with first direct absorption step and second absorption step by means of membrane contactor

A system and method for recovery of hydrate inhibitor from a fluid comprising hydrate inhibitor, water, mineral salt ions and salt particles is disclosed. Wherein, the system comprises: &#x2014;an indirectly heated paddle dryer with a fluid inlet, at least one vapor outlet and a dry salt outlet &#x2014;a vapor separation unit in fluid communication with the at least one vapor outlet for separation of the vapor to recover the hydrate inhibitor.
