A flow diversion device configured in accordance with embodiments of the present technology may include, for example, a housing including openings to channels that intersect at a junction. The flow diversion device may also include, for example, a flow control component disposed at the junction and movable to selectively form pathways for fluid communication based on a position of the flow control component. For example, when the flow control component is in a first position, a first pathway may allow fluid flow causing deployment of the prosthetic heart valve device and, when the flow control component is in a second position, a second pathway may allow fluid flow causing recapture of the prosthetic heart valve device. The flow diversion device may include a handle movable to position the flow control component in the first or second positions thereby selectively controlling fluid flow of the delivery system.

Hydraulic delivery systems with flow diversion devices and associated methods

A valve prosthesis and methods for implanting the prosthesis are provided. The prosthesis generally includes a self-expanding frame and two or more engagement arms. A valve prosthesis is sutured to the self-expanding frame. Each engagement arm corresponds to a native mitral valve leaflet. At least one engagement arm immobilizes the native leaflets, and holds the native leaflets close to the main frame. The prosthetic mitral valve frame also includes two or more anchor attachment points. Each anchor attachment point is attached to one or more anchors that help attach the valve prosthesis to the heart.

Prosthetic mitral valve and delivery method

A heart valve therapy system including a delivery device and a stented valve. The delivery device includes an outer sheath, an inner shaft, an optional hub assembly, and a plurality of tethers. In a delivery state, a stent frame of the prosthesis is crimped over the inner shaft and maintained in a compressed condition by the outer sheath. The tethers are connected to the stent frame. In a partial deployment state, the outer sheath is at least partially withdrawn, allowing the stent frame to self-expand. Tension in the tethers prevents the stent frame from rapidly expanding and optionally allowing recapture. Upon completion of the stent frame expansion, the tethers are withdrawn.

Systems, devices and methods for transcatheter valve delivery

A fluid diversion device configured in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, a housing including channels configured to receive respective tubes, and a bore that extends laterally across the plurality of channels. The device can include an occlusion member disposed in the bore, where rotation of the occlusion member selectively occludes either a first subset of tubes or a second subset of tubes. The device can include an actuator that enables rotation of the occlusion member to a first position and a second position such that the first subset of tubes and the second subset of tubes are alternatively occluded in the first position or the second position for fluid communication in different directions relative to chambers of a delivery device operable to deploy and recapture the medical device.

Fluid diversion devices for hydraulic delivery systems and associated methods

An elastic percutaneous elastic introducer sheath is disclosed which can locally expand and reduce to accommodate a transcatheter medical device. The elastic introducer sheath includes a non-circumferentially continuous elastic frame, a liner, and a jacket.

Heart valve delivery systems and methods of delivering and implanting heart valves using delivery catheters are disclosed. The delivery systems can include a handle assembly which can include a first control mechanism, a second control mechanism, and a decoupling mechanism. The delivery systems can also include a delivery catheter extending from the handle assembly. The delivery catheter can include an outer shaft, which can be controlled by the first control mechanism; a prosthesis containing capsule comprising a proximal capsule portion connected to the outer shaft, and a distal capsule portion releasably coupled to the proximal capsule portion. After deploying a valve prosthesis, the capsule can be closed by activating the decoupling mechanism in the handle to rapidly close the distal and proximal capsule portions together. The delivery system can also include a centering element to guide the distal and proximal capsule portions together.
