The invention relates to the field of bioresorbable or non-bioresorbable bone substitutes to be implanted in humans in order to reconstitute the bone supply by replacing lost bone substance. More particularly, the invention concerns a device that is simple to manufacture and use and comprises a syringe provided with a single-use dose of a polymer which is fluid at the injection temperature while being solid and durable at body temperature.

Bone substitute and independent injection system

A device in the form of a kit for mixing and injecting a bone cement is described, in which a mixing unit and a transfer unit are two units distinct from and independent of each other, with no element in common, and are designed to be connected alternately, that is to say successively, to the same end of a hollow cylindrical body or mixing body of a main module, before this main module is connected to an injection unit via its other end.

Device in the form of a kit for mixing and injecting a bone cement

A system for attaching a piece of osteosynthesis equipment against a bone tissue includes at least a screw, and a screwdriver having a handle extended by a rod with an adapter to engage the screw. A portion of the guide member of the screwdriver protrudes in front of the end-piece of the screwdriver and extends along or around a portion of the screw to guide the screw in axial translation. The guide member has a front end forming an abutment of the screwdriver against the surface of the piece of osteosynthesis equipment on completion of a predefined depth of screwing of the screw into the bone tissue. The guide member can be set at a chosen length of extension, corresponding to a predefined depth of insertion of the screw. After insertion, the screw can be severed, and optionally fused with the piece of equipment to reinforce the locking of same.

System for attaching a piece of osteosynthesis equipment

An osteosynthesis device that is both resorbable and radiopaque, produced using gradually degrading materials, includes at least one plate and a set of screws made of resorbable material, in which the plate consists of a composite mixture including i) a resorbable polymer or copolymer compound and ii) an inorganic filler that consists of at least one resorbable ceramic. The screws can be made of resorbable polymer, or of a composite mixture with at least one resorbable ceramic. The device is totally resorbable and radiopaque, and it offers a high level of safety, ensuring a strong and durable fixation of the screws to the plate and in the bone during the entire period needed for bone uniting.
