A selection of a fueling station item, graphically depicted on a display of a fuel dispenser and corresponding to an available fueling station product, can be received by at least one data processor of a fuel dispenser. A two dimensional barcode based on the selected fueling station item can be determined. The two dimensional barcode can be provided to the fuel dispenser display for graphical depiction on the fuel dispenser display.

Secure communications between fueling station components

A monitoring and control system is provided. The system includes a plurality of sensors for obtaining readings associated with food items, such as temperature readings, freshness indications, and the like. The system is scalable and configurable with each sensor being capable of functioning as an individual sensor and/or as part of a grouping of sensors. The system is configured to obtain a variety of information, such as ambient air temperature, dwell time of food items, moisture levels, and the like, thereby enabling the system to recognize current and future concerns. The system provides audio and visual warnings and visual displays. In some embodiments, the system performs one or more physical operation based on one or more detected condition. The system is further configured to distinguish between accurate readings and inaccurate readings and/or to otherwise determine if an obstacle is preventing a sensor from obtaining an accurate reading.

Further, the method includes indicating a residual life information of the at least one swivel based on the determined rotational count of the at least one swivel. According to techniques of this disclosure in various examples, a wireless signaling system may include a stationary element such as a stator and a non-stationary element such as a rotor. The stationary element includes a stationary element controller. The stationary element is configured to transmit a wireless signal comprising a pair of pulses. The non-stationary element comprising a non-stationary element controller. The non-stationary element is configured to receive the wireless signal from the stationary element controller, measure a transition in voltage of each of the pulses and a time interval between the pulses, and interpret a signal based on the transition in voltage of each of the pulses and the time interval between the pulses.

A system and method for estimating the residual fatigue life of a load cell includes storing, in a memory, fatigue life reference data associated with a test load cell. A predetermined number of data storage bins are provided. Each data storage bin is representative of a predefined value range of peak loads. Peak loads applied to an in-service load cell are detected, and each is stored in an appropriate one of the data storage bins. A number of load cycles of the in-service load cell are calculated based on the detected peak loads stored in each of the data storage bins. An estimate of the residual life of the in-service load cell is calculated from the fatigue life reference data and the calculated number of load cycles of the in-service load cell.

A battery depassivation system includes a depassivation circuit, a battery connect/disconnect circuit, and a processor. The depassivation circuit is adapted to be electrically coupled in series with a battery. The depassivation circuit is also coupled to receive an ENABLE signal and is configured, upon receipt thereof, to draw current from the battery. The battery connect/disconnect circuit is adapted to be electrically coupled in series between the battery and one or more battery-powered electronic circuits. The battery connect/disconnect circuit is coupled to receive an ISOLATE signal and is configured, upon receipt thereof, to electrically disconnect the one or more battery-powered electronic circuits from the battery. The processor is adapted to couple to the battery and is configured, upon being coupled thereto, to determine if the battery needs depassivation and implement a depassivation routine if the battery is determined to need depassivation.

A sensor assembly may include a Wheatstone bridge with one or more sense elements, an amplifier coupled to the Wheatstone bridge for providing a sensor output signal, a resistor, and a switch for connecting the resistor between the sensor and an adjustable power source output to induce an offset in the sensor output signal. In some instances, a controller may perform an automatic shunt calibration procedure by activating the switch to connect the resistor between the sensor and the adjustable power source output to induce an offset in the sensor output signal. The controller may read the output value and compare the output value with a predetermined value. The controller may adjust the power source output to a value that moves the sensor output value toward the predetermined value. The controller may repeat the reading, comparing and adjusting step until the sensor output value is within a predetermined range of the predetermined value.

A wireless torque measurement system includes a rotor, a rotor antenna, rotor electronics, a signal processing module, and a single ear antenna. The rotor antenna is attached to the rotor. The rotor electronics are attached to the rotor, and are configured to generate signals that indicate an amount of strain in the rotor and to transmit, via the rotor antenna, digital data representative thereof. The signal processing module is configured to generate signals that provide power and data to the rotor electronics module and process the digital data transmitted by the rotor electronics. The single ear stator is antenna coupled to the signal processing module and is configured to be inductively coupled to the rotor antenna.

A system includes a rotor, a rotor antenna attached to the rotor, a strain detection device attached to the rotor, a programmable gain amplifier attached to the rotor, and a control module attached to the rotor. The strain detection device is configured to generate signals that indicate an amount of strain in the rotor. The programmable gain amplifier is configured to amplify the signals generated by the strain detection device by a gain value. The gain value is programmable. The control module is configured to program the gain value of the programmable gain amplifier and transmit, via the rotor antenna, digital data that is derived from the amplified signals.
