Systems and methods to recognize pronunciation variations of individual terms are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: effectuate presentation of a diction interface; obtain audio information that represents sounds captured by the client computing platform; perform speech recognition on the audio information to generate a first term spelling and first term recognition spellings; determine a first ground truth spelling of the first term; upon determination that a first user-specific lexicon does not include the first ground truth spelling, add the first ground truth spelling to first user-specific lexicon; upon the first term recognition spellings matching the first ground truth spelling, correlate the utterance of the first term and the first ground truth spellings; upon the first term recognition spellings not matching the first ground truth spelling, correlate the first term recognition spellings and the first ground truth spelling, and correlate the first ground truth spelling and the utterance of the first term.

Systems and methods to analyze and identify adaptations to document based on an audience of the document to improve a document quality are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: analyze individual documents to determine its active lexicon from lexicons stored in electronic storage that the individual documents are comprised of; store the documents in correlation with the determined active lexicons in the electronic storage; generate, based on the lexicons and the correlations, audience scores for individual ones of the documents; store the audience scores in the electronic storage; receive a request to obtain a document; and effectuate presentation of the document and the audiences scores corresponding to the document.

An apparatus and method for detecting undiagnosed sleep disordered breathing uses daytime sleepiness and nighttime Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) severity. This involves detecting people with excessive daytime sleepiness (and high likelihood of falling asleep during the day) caused by OSA through objective and subjective daytime and nighttime monitoring. Screening is provided for those who are most likely to be suffering a daytime impact of their sleep apnea and thus most likely to respond positively to a potential diagnosis, and notifying these people is also provided.

An apparatus and method for employing the macro- and micro-structure of sleep and similar states of consciousness to optimize pain-treatment are disclosed wherein an objective biomarker of pain-related sleep disturbance guides pain treatment from a sleep perspective. Furthermore, this concept can be extended to states of reduced consciousness such as coma or sedation. Additionally, it could be applied on individuals who are non-communicative due to injury, disease, language issues and/or infancy.
