Aspects presented herein relate to methods and devices for data processing including an apparatus, e.g., a CPU. The apparatus may obtain an indication of a set of sensors that are connected to at least one clock source at a device. The apparatus may also detect whether each of the set of sensors is an active sensor or an inactive sensor. Further, the apparatus may select a clock configuration for a set of hardware components at the device based on the detection of whether each of the set of sensors is the active sensor or the inactive sensor, where the clock configuration is associated with the at least one clock source. The apparatus may also output an indication of the selected clock configuration for the set of hardware components at the device.

Power optimization for camera devices

A device may include one or more processors, an image signal processor, and system memory. The one or more processors are configured to receive a request to accommodate a preview stream and a snapshot stream and output a request to increase a bandwidth between the image signal processor and the system memory to accommodate the preview stream in response to receiving the request to accommodate the preview stream and the snapshot stream. The request to increase the bandwidth to accommodate the preview stream refrains from accommodating the snapshot stream. Responsive to receiving a request to generate an image, for storage at the system memory, that corresponds to an image being output by the preview stream, the one or more processors are further configured to output a request to further increase the bandwidth between the image signal processor and the system memory to accommodate the snapshot stream.

Dynamically configuring memory bandwidth for image generation

One innovation includes an imaging device having an image sensor, a lens having a movable optical element, and an actuator operative to move the one optical element to a plurality of lens positions. The imaging device further includes an electronic display, a power source electrically coupled to the camera system and to the display, the power source (e.g., voltage regulator) configured to provide power to the display and the camera system, a memory circuit configured to store information representing an actuator control value that corresponds to a low-power focus position, and an electronic hardware processor coupled to the memory circuit, the actuator and the electronic display. The processor may retrieve the actuator control value from the memory circuit and controls the actuator to move the optical element to the lens position that corresponds to the low-power focus position when the camera system is in a deactivated state.
