An elongated support member and a goods storage system includes an elongated support member () including two spaced wall portions () defining a channel () extending in a longitudinal direction of the elongated support member for receipt of an inner mounting end () of a support bracket (), wherein each one of the two spaced wall portions includes at least one engagement structure () facing the channel for engagement with a laterally projecting engagement structure of the support bracket, wherein each one of the engagement structures () has an open end facing in the same direction in the longitudinal direction of the elongated support member for receipt of an engagement structure of the support bracket during mounting of a goods storage system.
