An electrical wedge connector including a connector shell having a general C-shaped cross-section with two opposing free ends, and a wedge. The free ends each comprise an outward extension from the opposing ends. Each outward extension has an outer tip along a longitudinal length of the shell adapted to stablely locate the shell on a surface of a frame of a wedge connector installation tool. The wedge is adapted to wedge two electrical conductors against respective opposing inner sides of the shell.

Electrical wedge connector

A method of manufacturing an angled conductor electrical connector including extruding a metal member having a channel therein; and bending the metal member such that the channel forms two angled conductor receiving areas. Each conductor receiving area has a channel axis angled relative to each other.

Method of making an angled conductor electrical connector

An electrical connector for connecting at least two angled conductors together. The electrical connector includes a first section and a second section. The first section has a first conductor receiving channel with a first channel axis. The second section has a second conductor receiving channel with a second channel axis angled relative to the first channel axis. The first and second sections are comprised of a single extruded metal member which has been formed to angle the first and second channel axes relative to each other.

Electrical connector for angled conductors

An electrical connector crimping tool die set for crimping an asymmetrical electrical connector onto at least one electrical conductor. The die set includes a first crimping die adapted to be removably mounted to a crimping tool; and a second crimping die adapted to be removably mounted to a movable ram of the crimping tool opposite the first die. The second die includes a generally convex shaped rear side and a generally concave shaped front side. The front side forms a crimping groove with a center axis that is offset from a center axis of the generally convex shaped rear side. The asymmetrical electrical connector can be crimped between the first and second dies at an angle to a center axis of movement of the ram to provide a direction of crimp force substantially along or parallel to the center axis of movement of the ram.
