An open-ended tube comprising walls of a heat-sealable multi-layer polymeric film, wherein said film comprises an outer shrinkable substrate layer and an inner heat-sealable layer, wherein said substrate layer has a degree of shrinkage in the longitudinal dimension of the tube of about 0% to about 50% over the temperature range 55 to 100&#xb0; C., and a degree of shrinkage in the transverse dimension of the tube of 5 to about 70% over the temperature range 55 to 100&#xb0; C.; and use thereof in the manufacture of packaging for a container suitable as a receptacle for a ready-prepared ovenable meal.

Heat-sealable and shrinkable multi-layer polymeric film

A multilayer card has (i) an opaque polyester film substrate containing 0.2 to 30% by weight, relative to the total weight of the substrate, of at least one copolyesterether, (ii) a first ink-receptive layer on at least one surface of the substrate, (iii) a cover layer on the surface of the ink-receptive layer and/or surface of the substrate and (iv) a second ink-receptive heat-sealable layer comprising a polyester resin on a second surface of the substrate. The presence of the copolyesterether in the substrate reduces the tendency of the card to delaminate in use. Suitable for use, inter alia, in identification, magnetic, credit, pre-paid and smart cards.

Multilayer card

A multilayer card has (i) an opaque polyester film substrate () containing 0.2 to 30% by weight, relative to the total weight of the substrate, of at least one copolyesterether, (ii) an ink-receptive layer () on at least one surface of the substrate, and (iii) a cover layer () on the surface of the ink-receptive layer and/or surface of the substrate. The presence of the copolyesterether in the substrate reduces the tendency of the card to delaminate in use. Suitable for use, inter alia, in identification, magnetic, credit, pre-paid and smart cards.

A thermal transfer printing receiver sheet for use in association with a compatible donor sheet comprises a supporting substrate having a dye-receptive receiving layer, said dye receiving layer comprises a dye-receptive polymer and from 0.5 to 30% by weight of the layer of at least one antiplasticizer therefor.

A thermal transfer printing (TTP) receiver sheet has a substrate, dye receptive receiving layer and a release medium associated with the receiving layer, the release medium being a dye-permeable polyurethane resin which is the reaction product of (i) an organic polyisocyanate, (ii) an isocyanate-reactive polydialkylsiloxane, and (iii) a polymeric polyol.
