A novel and non-obvious method, system and apparatus for tuning order configurator performance by dynamic integration of manufacturing and field feedback information. A method for dynamically tuning order configurator behavior by using product issue data can include collecting product issue data for a manufactured product, the product issue data including performance and attribute information of a part of the manufactured product, analyzing the collected product issue data to identify a problematic part, and, modifying the order configurator using the analyzed product issue data.

Tuning order configurator performance by dynamic integration of manufacturing and field feedback

The present invention addresses the deficiencies of the art in respect to the manufacturing test processes and provides a novel and non-obvious method, system and apparatus for dynamic optimization of manufacturing test coverage with automated integration of field failure feedback with the order configurator. In one embodiment of the invention, a manufacturing field failure feedback method can be provided. The method can include retrieving field failure data, analyzing the field failure data, storing failure analysis object information, modifying a manufacturing test case selection within the test case selection and order configurator based on using field failure data analysis, the test case selection including rules for test case selection and test case object information, and configuring a testing order with an optimized test case selection.

Automated integration of feedback from field failure to order configurator for dynamic optimization of manufacturing test processes

A method, apparatus, and product are disclosed for optimizing manufacturing testing of a customized configuration of a product. A plurality of part objects are defined within an order configuration application. Each one of the part objects is associated with one of a plurality of parts. A plurality of test objects is defined within the order configuration application. Each one of the test objects is associated with one of a plurality of tests. The order configuration application is used to generate order information using the part objects that are associated with parts that are selected to be included in a customized product. The order configuration application is also used to generate test cases using the test objects that are associated with the part objects that are associated with parts that are selected to be included in a customized product.

Method, apparatus, and product for optimizing manufacturing tests by integrating part and test objects in the same order configuration application

An object oriented framework mechanism for fulfillment requirements management provides an infrastructure that embodies the steps necessary to manage and coordinate information throughout a given fulfillment requirements process, such as coordinating product information from the marketing of products to the ordering of products to the production of products. Certain core functions are provided by the framework, which interact with extensible functions provided by the framework consumer. The architecture of the framework allows a user to determine the conditions and parameters that apply to the specific environment while allowing a programmer to interact with the framework with an interface that is consistent regardless of the specific combination of parameters specified in the fulfillment requirements manager. The extensible functions allow new fulfillment requirements environments to be easily implemented using the framework. The framework thus allows a common programming interface for fulfillment requirements managers implemented using the framework, which may be easily customized to include new or changed parameters. The framework greatly simplifies the programmer's job of developing an end-to-end system by providing a common programming interface, and by providing established classes that may be easily extended to implement the desired fulfillment requirements environment.
