A dispenser including a plurality of tower sections allows an operator to remove one or more tower sections from the fluid dispenser without removing the fluid dispenser from a dispensing location. A housing of the dispenser includes multiple arrays of outlets from a housing fluid circuit that is connectable to fluid sources. Separate tower sections including complementary arrays are then coupled to arrays of the housing, thereby extending the housing fluid circuits to the dispense points disposed on the tower sections. The tower sections are secured to the fluid dispenser housing. The tower sections may further include mounting members that mate together to provide additional restraint and to ensure that the dispense points of the attached tower sections are aligned, thereby providing a clean, uniform appearance.

Method and apparatus for a modular dispensing tower

A beverage dispensing system for providing a beverage from a plurality of beverage concentrate sources. The beverage dispensing system includes a nozzle, a modular diluent valve for supplying diluent to the nozzle, a plurality of modular volumetric concentrate valves each in fluid communication with one of the beverage concentrate sources, and an electronic control board. The electronic control board determines the diluent flow rate through the modular diluent valve and instructs one of the modular volumetric concentrate valves to supply a predetermined volume of a beverage concentrate to the nozzle based upon the diluent flow rate.

Modular volumetric valve system

A water system for a beverage dispenser connected to a conventional water source. The water system includes a water tank with a volume of water and a volume of air. The water tank is connected to the conventional water source. A pump is connected to water tank so as to provide the water to the beverage dispenser.

Water tank and pump system

A postmix beverage dispenser including a housing, a water bath, a refrigeration system, a concentrate package compartment, a cooling system for the compartment, and a potable water circuit including a cooling coil in the water bath. The concentrate packages are preferably bag-in-box packages with a flexible tube, and the dispenser includes a peristaltic pump driven by a gearhead motor with an encoder. A flow meter in the potable water line feeds information to the control system which controls the pump speed to control ratio. A ratio card is inserted into a slot in the door to tell the control system the ratio to use for each BIB package. A removable water nozzle improves mixing. An improved subassembly and method for making it is described. The potable water cooling coil is above the evaporator coil and separately removable from the water bath.

Postmix beverage dispenser

A liquid container comprising a multi-layer container including a wall made up of a main layer and a separate, delaminatable inner layer, a container opening at the top for filling and evacuation and a plurality of air vents extending completely through the main layer and terminating at the inner layer, such that the inner layer delaminates when liquid is evacuated by suction.

Liquid container system

A syrup container system for post-mix beverage dispensing systems comprising filling a blow molded, multi-layer PET container with syrup and connecting the container to a post-mix beverage dispenser through a syrup pump. The PET container includes an inner delaminatable PET layer and an outer PET layer and an air vent partway through the container wall terminating at the inner PET layer, so that the inner PET layer can separate from the outer layer and collapse around the remaining syrup as it is withdrawn, without the need for venting the syrup chamber to atmosphere. The PET container also includes a polyethylene closure sealing the container opening and a coupling for connecting to a quick-disconnect coupling on the distal end of a syrup line. The PET container is disposable and recyclable.

The PET container also includes a polyethylene closure sealing the container opening and coupling means for connecting to a quick-disconnect coupling on the distal end of a syrup line. The PET container is disposable and recyclable.

Method of dispensing from a liquid container system

A liquid container comprising a multi-layer container including a wall made up of a main layer and a separate, delaminatable inner layer, a container opening at the top for filling and evacuation and a plurality of air vents extending completely through the main layer and terminating at the inner layer, such that the inner layer delaminates when liquid is evacuated by suction. The inner layer is thicker at the top end of the container and the air vents have a larger size opening at the bottom of the container, both to prevent premature collapse of the top end of the inner layer. The inner layer is also at least partially predelaminated during (or right after) manufacturing to assist ease of delamination during use.

An orange juice dispensing system including a pump driven by a d.c. motor for pumping concentrate through a concentrate conduit to a mixing chamber of a dispensing valve, a water line for feeding water to the mixing chamber and including a flow meter and a motorized control valve therein, sensors connected to the pump for sensing concentrate flow rate, and a microcontroller receiving signals from the pump sensors and the water flow meter for controlling the mixture ratio and flow rate by controlling the motorized control valve in the water line and the d.c. motor connected to the concentrate pump. The concentrate is preferably contained in a nonreturnable, plastic, semi-rigid container.

Orange juice dispensing system

A postmix juice dispensing system for reconstituting and dispensing pliable 5+1 orange juice at freezer temperatures of from about -10.degree. F. to 0.degree. F., including a pressurizable canister for pressurizing concentrate in a flexible bag and for forcing the concentrate through a concentrate conduit into a heat exchanger, then into a metering device and then into a mixing chamber where the concentrate mixes with water fed also through a metering device.

Postmix juice dispensing system

A postmix juice dispensing system for reconstituting and dispensing pliable 5+1 orange juice at freezer temperatures of from about -10.degree. F. to 0.degree. F., including a pressurizable canister for pressurizing concentrate in a flexible bag and for forcing the concentrate through a concentrate conduit into a heat exchanger, then into a metering device and then into a mixing chamber where the concentrate mixes with water fed also through a metering device. The dispensing system includes a remote, under-the-counter refrigeration system with a recirculating water chiller for chilling the concentrate reservoir in the dispenser, a water tank, a pressurizable concentrate canister in the tank, and a potable water heat exchange coil in a cold water bath to cool the potable water to be used in the dispenser.

A carbonator system consisting of a meter assembly and two holding tanks which may be used on earth or in the microgravity conditions in outer space. The meter assembly functions as a double acting pump to simultaneously pump separate quantities of water and carbon dioxide to one of two holding tanks which both function as a single acting pump. These holding tanks hold the carbon dioxide and water for a sufficient time and at a sufficient pressure in order to form carbonated water. One of the holding tanks can discharge the formed carbonated water to a dispenser. Once this tank is empty, the other holding tank may begin to dispense carbonated water. The first holding tank may then be refilled with carbon dioxide and water by the action of the meter assembly.
