A cooling device is disclosed for a computer having a drive bay region with at least one drive bay adapted to receive a drive. The device comprises a case configured to mount within the drive bay of the computer having at least a first and at least a second opening. When mounted within the drive bay, the first opening is exposed to ambient air about the computer and the second opening is disposed within the drive bay region of the computer. The device also comprises at least one air movement device mounted within the case. The air movement device is configured in one of two ways. In a first way, it draws cooling air through the first opening and exhausts substantially all of the cooling air though the second opening into the drive bay region. In a second way, the air movement device draws air through the second opening from the drive bay region and exhausts it through the first opening. A mechanism for supplying power to the air movement device is also provided.

The puck for a sample tube includes a housing, a spring device and an end cap. The spring device has an annular base portion and angularly spaced spring arms that extend upwardly from the base portion and then bend downwardly toward the base portion. The end cap includes a hub portion around which the spring device is mounted. The cap with the spring device are fixed at one end of the housing and a portion of the spring arms extend into the interior space of the housing. The downwardly directed portion of the spring arm includes a sample tube engaging portion that is substantially parallel with a central axis of the housing. Thus a sample tube inserted in the puck engages the sample tube engaging portions of the spring arms which exert a biasing force against the sample tube. The spring arms provide an optimum restraining force against the sample tube to permit easy insertion and removal of the sample tube from the puck.

A wire clamping ligature for use with single reed musical instruments such as clarinets and saxophones which includes two retaining wires extending circumferentially around the mouthpiece and reed of the instrument to affix the reed to the mouthpiece and yet allow normal musical vibration thereof wherein the retaining wires are approximately thirty thousandths of an inch (0.030 inches) and including two drawbars each attached to the opposite ends of the two retaining wires with an adjustable clamp secured therebetween. An apparatus for varying the length of the barrel of a woodwind musical instrument by providing adjustability in the length thereof which includes two tubular members which are telescopingly movable with respect to one another and include a primary gear rack mounted on the second tubular member and a rotatably movable adjustment wheel mounted on the first tubular member with a gear fixedly secured to the adjustment wheel and in engagement with respect to the teeth of the primary gear rack such that movement of the adjustment wheel will cause movement of the primary gear rack and relative movement between the first and second tubular member for adjusting or tuning of the length between the first and second tubular members. Each tubular member defines a bore extending centrally therealong which is coincident on the same longitudinally extending bore axis. A locking device is included for selectively fixedly securing the first and second tubular members with respect to one another as desired. Also a first longitudinal orientation device is positioned on the first tubular member and a second orientation device is positioned on the second tubular member to prevent relative rotational movement thereof to prevent rotational movement therebetween and allow only axial tuning movement therebetween. The longitudinal orientation means will preferably include a key and engaging key slot configuration defined on the two tubular members.

An apparatus for supporting of one or more musical instruments and preventing damage thereto as well as providing gentle heating thereof during non-usage. The apparatus includes multiple spacing means for maintaining a clear air flow channel between the instrument and the mounting peg to facilitate even heating of the instrument. The device includes a plurality of apertures for facilitating heat flow into contact with the instrument and a plurality of mounting locations upon a rotatable base for facilitating positioning of more than one instrument with respect thereto. A device is also included for introducing moisture into the warm air flow for the even heating and the maintenance of a moist condition of a held musical instrument to maintain tonal qualities thereof. A clip retaining device is included for holding the spacing devices when not in use. The apparatus is usable for supporting many different types of musical instruments, in particular woodwinds, by utilizing a single universally usable peg.

A musical instrument stand which includes a plurality of mounting stations for holding various musical instruments which is rotatable to facilitate a musician changing instruments quickly and which is heated to maintain the temperature of all instruments at the normal operating temperature to improve and control tonal qualities. The instrument stand includes a base with a platform being generally circular and rotatably movable with rerspect to the base. A heat chamber is defined between the platform and the base to act as a reservoir for heated air. A heating device is adapted to heat air which is transported into the air chamber. Instrument support members are attachable with respect to mounting stations defined on the platform. Attachment of a support member biases a flap to an opened position to allow heated air to flow upwardly to contact the musical instrument for maintaining it at operating temperature.
