Described herein are compounds that inhibits the membrane proximal external region (MPER) of a viral envelope (Env), as well as and compositions thereof. Further provided herein are methods for treating or preventing a viral infection comprises administering to a subject in need thereof an agent or compound that inhibits the MPER of a viral Env. In certain embodiments, the viral infection is an HIV infection.

Compositions and methods for targeting a viral infection

A continuous power system accumulator assembly is provided that stores thermal energy as sensible heat and minimizes the amount of thermal energy wasted by the system. The assembly includes an accumulator at its core. A preheater assembly is wrapped around the accumulator such that it may absorb heat radiated and conducted from the accumulator. An evaporator is wrapped around the preheater so that most of the heat that is radiated and conducted from the preheater is utilized to heat the vaporizer. The outer housing of the assembly may be a double-walled housing having a layer of insulation located between the two walls. This configuration minimizes heat losses by the assembly.

Integrated continuous power system assemblies

A coating composite provides desirable corrosion resistance for substrate metals, as well as, enhanced torque control where desired. The undercoat of the composite can be metal in elemental form or can be exemplified by being chromium-containing, either in elemental or non-elemental form. The special topcoat composition, containing copolymer component and silicate substance in liquid medium, is applied directly to the undercoating. In addition to corrosion resistance and torque control, the composite provides the substrate metal with excellent heat, abrasion and solvent resistance. Before use, the special topcoating displays outstanding shelf stability.
