A medical instrument sterilization system and method is provided. The system includes a sterilization container having a first container portion engagable with a second container portion to enclose an interior compartment from an exterior atmosphere. At least one insert is locatable within the interior compartment of the sterilization container, the at least one insert having a medical instrument holding area surrounded by a plurality of sidewalls, wherein the medical instrument holding area is sized to hold at least one medical instrument. A filter is secured within a wall of the first container portion, wherein the filter is in communication with the interior compartment and the exterior atmosphere.

Medical instrument sterilization system and method

The system contains at least two elongated feet attached to a wall of the sterilization case. Each of the feet is approximately parallel to the wall of the sterilization case and attached to the wall. At least one leg is integral with each of the elongated feet. At least one retaining element extends from each of the legs.

System and method of labeling and identifying the contents within a sterilization case

A medical instrument holder and method of holding a medical instrument is provided. The medical instrument holder includes a first substantially planar structure having at least a first aperture positioned therein. A second substantially planar structure is positioned approximately parallel to the first substantially planar structure. The second substantially planar structure has at least a second aperture positioned therein, wherein the second aperture is flexible. At least one holding structure is connected between the first substantially planar structure and the second substantially planar structure.

Medical instrument holder and method thereof

A biological indicator access apparatus and method thereof is provided. The apparatus includes a cage positioned at least partially within an interior compartment of a medical sterilization container, wherein the cage has an interior portion sized to house at least one biological indicator. At least one access element is removably coupled to the cage and permitting access to the interior portion, wherein the at least one access element is located exterior to the medical sterilization container. A filter material at least partially forms the interior portion of the cage, wherein the filter material allows a sterilization substance to traverse from within the interior compartment of the medical sterilization container to the interior portion and prevents non-sterile substances from traversing from the interior portion to the interior compartment of the medical sterilization container.

Apparatus and method for accessing a biological indicator within a container

The system contains a metal tray formed from a sheet of metal. A plurality of pockets is formed in the metal tray, wherein the plurality of pockets is formed from manipulating the sheet of metal. A cover is formed over the metal tray. Optionally, a base may be engaged with the cover, wherein the metal tray is formed to fit snugly between the cover and the base.

System and method for providing a metal sterilization tray

The system contains at least two elongated feet attached to a wall of the sterilization case. Each of the feet is approximately parallel to the wall of the sterilization case and attached to the wall. At least one leg is integral with the each of the elongated feet. At least one retaining element extends from each of the legs.

A modular medical instrument table and method of using the same is provided. The modular medical instrument table includes a base and at least one support structure rising from the base, the support structure having a substantially vertical axis. At least one arm is removably affixed to the support structure, the arm having a first end proximate to the support structure and a second end distal from the support structure, wherein the second end of the arm is rotatable about the support structure. A shelf is attachable to the second end of the arm.

Modular medical instrument table

An apparatus for indicating biological content within a container is provided. The apparatus includes a medical sterilization container having a cover removably attached to the medical sterilization container. An enclosable, sterilizable interior compartment is formed by the medical sterilization container and the cover, wherein the interior compartment is sized to house at least one medical instrument. A biological indicator is located at least partially in communication with the interior compartment, wherein the biological indicator provides at least one indication of biological content within the interior compartment after the medical sterilization container and cover are subjected to a sterilization process.

Apparatus and method for indicating biological content within a container

The system contains a latch mechanism for a container having a first container portion and a second container portion comprising a guide part attached to the first container portion. A slide part is carried by the guide part, shiftable relative to the guide part between a closed position restraining the second container portion and an open position releasing the slide part from the second container portion. A guide catch part is integral with said guide part and a slide part including a depressible flap. A slide catch part is integral with said depressible flap. Interaction between said guide catch part and said slide catch part restrains said slide part against movement from said closed position into said open position. Actuating said depressible flap releases said slide catch part from being restrained by said guide catch part and frees the slide part to move from the closed to open position.

Latch for a medical instrument sterilization container

The system contains a molded plastic reticulated tray composed of a continuous rib that forms a tray rim and a plurality of intersecting ribs defining relatively large openings therebetween. The intersecting ribs are dished and having opposite ends connected to the continuous rib at spaced apart locations therealong. The plurality of intersecting ribs have rounded surfaces so that a fluid sterilant directed at the plurality of intersecting ribs from the outside, upon flowing through said openings, will follow and intimately contact said rounded surfaces to the tray interior so that those surfaces are cleaned thoroughly.

Medical instrument container system

A sterilization case assembly including a plurality of sterilization cases having a first sterilization case and a second sterilization case. The second sterilization case is stacked upon the first sterilization case in a vertical direction. The second sterilization case is offset from the first sterilization case in a direction transverse to the vertical direction.

Orthopaedic instrument sterilization case

A storage and sterilization tray assembly for sterilizing, transporting and storing surgical instruments includes a rack having a top, a bottom and four sides, and at least one slidably mounted drawer carried therein. At least one of the sides includes at least one pivotally mounted door which is moveable between a closed position in which the at least one slidably mounted drawer is retained in the rack, and an open position in which the at least one slidably mounted drawer may be slid at least partially out of the rack. The door also serves to stabilize the rack against tipping when in its open position. Preferably, one or more removable trays are carried in the drawer, and the rack includes a plurality of openings in the top, bottom and sides, aligned with openings in the drawer, for permitting ingress and egress of sterilant therethrough.

Stacking sterilizing tray system

A sterilization tray assembly for sterilizing, transporting and storing surgical instruments, having top and bottom mating enclosures. The mating enclosures each have a plurality of ports for permitting ingress and egress of gaseous sterilant. Resiliently deformable members are fitted in the top and bottom enclosures for clamping surgical instruments therebetween.

Sterilization and storage container tray

A sterilization tray assembly for sterilizing, transporting and storing surgical instruments, having top and bottom mating enclosures. The mating enclosures each have a plurality of ports for permitting ingress and egress of gaseous sterilant. A rack is rotatably mounted within the enclosure, and has a plurality of spaced apertures into which surgical instruments may be removably inserted.
