A valve body has a channel extending along an axis and an inlet port open to the channel. A sleeve, received about the valve body, overlies the inlet port and is rotatable about the axis relative the body. A nozzle projects radially outward from the sleeve. The nozzle is rotatable with the sleeve into a range of positions in which the nozzle communicates with the inlet port through the sleeve.

An apparatus includes a compressor. The compressor has an air pump and a tank configured to store air compressed by the air pump. The compressor is configured to be used while in an operating position in which the tank is in an upright position. In the upright position, the tank has a vertical cylindrical side surface and a rounded top surface. A storage case is configured to be removably mounted on top of the tank in a mounted position in which the case engages both the top surface and the side surface of the tank at different locations selected so as to prevent the case from sliding off the tank when a horizontal force in any horizontal direction is applied to the tank urging the case to slide off the tank.

An apparatus for use with a paint container includes a nozzle and a housing. The nozzle receives paint from the container. The housing has a handle, an air inlet, and an air flow path configured to direct air from the inlet into the container. A valve body opens and closes the air flow path into the container upon moving back and forth between open and closed positions. The valve body moves between those positions by rotating about an axis without moving along the axis.

An apparatus includes a valve body defining a chamber located on an axis. The chamber has axially upper and lower ends. The chamber further has upper and lower orifices located at the upper and lower ends through which air can exit the chamber. An upper plug is configured, in a closed position, to close the upper orifice. A lower plug is configured, in a closed position, to close the lower orifice. A spring is compressed between the plugs so as to elastically urge the plugs axially apart and into their respective closed positions. A plug displacement device is configured to displace the upper plug from its closed position against bias of the spring into an open position, and to displace the lower plug from its closed position against the bias of the spring into an open position.

An apparatus comprises a valve body having a cylindrical bore centered on an axis. A cylindrical core extends axially within the bore and is fixed relative to the valve body. A sleeve within the bore extends circumferentially about the core and is rotatable about the axis relative to the core. A passage extends radially through the sleeve and provides a radial flow path from the core through the passage to the valve body. Alignment of the passage is circumferentially selectable by rotation of the passage with the sleeve about the axis.
