A method for creating a graphic image on a reflective metal surface. A digital representation of the graphic image in a negative form is created on a computer and stored in memory. The negative image is then sent to an inkjet printer, where ultraviolet light curable ink representative of the negative image is printed onto the reflective metal surface using the inkjet printer. The portions of the reflective metal surface that are not covered with the ink remain exposed. The reflective metal in the exposed areas is mechanically scuffed to render it less reflective and visually distinct from the covered portions. The ultraviolet light curable ink is then removed with a high pressure water spray to reveal the graphic image made by the contrast between the original reflective metal and the scuffed metal surfaces.

Method and apparatus for creating a graphic image on a reflective metal surface

A repairable drawer or door assembly has a rear panel and a front panel that each have corresponding openings. Perimeter portions around the openings in the two panels are formed to capture a window. A removable escutcheon plate covers raw edges of the perimeter around the insert opening. The rear panel is fastened to the front panel to create an assembly that has no visible means of fastening on the exterior.

Drawer or door front assembly with reconfigurable inserts panel

An interlocking drawer or door assembly has a rear panel and a front panel that each have corresponding openings. Perimeter portions around the openings in the two panels are formed to capture an insert panel. An escutcheon plate covers raw edges of the perimeter around the insert opening. The rear panel is fastened to the front panel to create the assembly.

Drawer or door front assembly with integral port

An interlocking drawer or door assembly has a rear panel and a front panel. The rear panel is a five sided box, four low walls surrounding a face. One or more apertures are formed in two or more of the walls, and a plastic rivet or other deformable member is located in each of the apertures, such that the head of the rivet is on the outside of the wall. The front panel is a similar five sided box, with each of the four corners laser welded to form a smooth and hidden seam. Each of the front panel walls has an additional portion that is bent 180 degrees toward the inside of the box to form a rolled wall that is parallel to and in close proximity to the wall. Holes are formed in the rolled wall to correspond to the location of respective deformable members in the rear panel. When the front and rear panels are assembled together with the open sides of the boxes facing each other, they create an interference fit between the deformable member and the holes so that the plastic rivet changes shape to partially conform to the shape of the aperture, to tightly retain the rear panel within the front panel.

Drawer or door front assembly

An adjustable thick film capacitor includes a conductive paste layer which is fired to form a first electrode on a substrate, at least one dielectric paste layer over the conductive electrode which is also fired, and an organo-metallic paste layer over the dielectric layer, which is fired at high temperature to form a very thin sintered metallic conductive layer for the second electrode. The organo-metallic paste includes molecules having conducting particles, such as gold atoms, which after firing form a residue layer having a thickness of the order of 1 micron. This thin electrode can be trimmed by an accurately controlled low energy laser beam to adjust the capacitor value.

Method of trimming thick film capacitor

A thin film structure is provided with the capability of low-power laser tuning and trimming. Trim windows in a plated ground plane are incorporated to allow automated tuning procedures using relatively low-power lasers. The trim windows are conductive, but the heavier layer of plated copper is omitted from those areas, leaving only the titanium/evaporated copper/ gold layers. The method can also provide for areas of bare substrate if desired.
