A method for calibration of a memory controller may include determining if an unused memory location exists in memory. The method may include writing a first pattern to the unused memory location in response to a determination that the unused memory location exists. The method may include determining if a second pattern exists in the memory in response to a determination that the unused memory location does not exist. The method may include iteratively modifying a first delay of a first delay control module among a plurality of delay values. The method may include reading from a memory location including the first pattern or the second pattern for each iteration of modification of the first delay. The method may include modifying one or more second delays, each second delay associated with one of one or more second delay control modules, based on the results of reading from the memory location.

Method and system for memory controller calibration

A communication network access device is adapted for duplex communication and provides transmit and receive signal paths. A controllable socket is coupled to the transmit and receive signal paths and linked to a control interface for activating/deactivating the control interface. A pluggable module is coupled to the transmit and receive signal paths via the controllable socket in an activated status and to a transmission path carrying uni-directional signals. The module includes a first optical device and a splitter in the transmission path and is coupled to a second optical device via the splitter. The second optical device responds to a portion of uni-directional signals provided by the splitter for placing the communication access device in a link up condition for uni-directional signals provided by the first optical device to the transmission path serving an optical local area network.

Device and method to allow for uni-directional traffic on local area networks

A LAN Service Unit (LANSU) backplane extender provides an inexpensive way to increase LANSU backplane bandwidth so that the performance degradation that may otherwise result can be avoided. A system having increased LANSU bandwidth comprises a backplane including a plurality of data traffic communications connections operable to communicate data traffic, a Line Unit including a WAN interface and a data traffic communications interface to the data traffic communications connections, a LANSU including a LAN interface, a data traffic communications interface to a Bandwidth Extender, and a data traffic communications interface to the data traffic communications connections, and the Bandwidth Extender including a data traffic communications interface to the LANSU and a data traffic communications interface to the data traffic communications connections, the Bandwidth Extender operable to communicate data traffic between the data traffic communications interface to the LANSU and the data traffic communications interface to the data traffic communications connections.

Method and apparatus to double LAN service unit bandwidth

To provide a communication terminal device which can select whether to answer an incoming call from an IP network, and a communication terminal device which improves convenience of a user by executing an appropriate process when there are a plurality of incoming calls. The communication terminal device of the present invention receives an incoming call by a call control protocol, establishes a connection with a transmitter by the call control protocol, and determines whether the incoming call relates to voice communication over the established connection.
