A drywall joint tool includes a housing with upper and lower surfaces and an interior. A drivetrain is mounted in said interior and originates at a drive input shaft. The drivetrain reduces the rotational speed and increases the torque force from the drive input shaft to multiple rollers depending downwardly from the housing lower surface. A guide fence also depends downwardly from the housing lower surface and includes a guide wall. The spacing between the guide rollers in the guide wall correspondence to nominal and compressed thicknesses of a gypsum board panel along a cut edge traversed by the tool. In an alternative embodiment, four guide rollers are provided.

A dosing system for delivering a dosing fluid includes a dosing manifold having a front panel and a rear panel with a plurality of channels and a plurality of inlet and outlet ports in fluid communication with corresponding channels. The front panel holds a plurality of flow control devices in fluid communication with corresponding channels to control the flow of the dosing fluid in the channels. A dosing pump is in fluid communication with the dosing manifold and is configured to pump the dosing fluid through the dosing manifold.

The liquid level sensing device includes rotating electrically conductive probes and uses a self-cleaning rotary electrical connection system with a contact stylus on a rotating conductive barrel, for sensing a liquid level in a dispensing container of an aircraft galley insert. The probes, pivot arms of the probes, rotating drum and stylus may have an exterior surface formed of an electrically conductive, corrosion resistant material.

A water heating apparatus for a beverage brewing device. Water is heated to brew temperature without boiling or localized boiling, thereby minimizing the precipitating of scale. The heating elements each have a low watt density, thereby increasing safety. Multiple heating zones allow the use of a plurality of power relays, lowering the power per relay and thus improving the reliability of the relays. The heating elements cannot overheat due to a failure resulting in a lack of water in the apparatus since the temperature sensors are mounted directly on each heating element, allowing direct measurement and control of each heating element. Precise control of water temperature in the apparatus is provided by varying both the water flow rate through the heating apparatus, and by varying heating element temperatures.

Non-scaling flow through water heater

A sensor head/brew cup with liquid level sensor probes which rotate down into the server to avoid damage to the probes by the server. The sensor head/brew cup moves as a unit, thereby eliminating any gap between the brew cup and the sensor head through which the brewed liquid must pour, thereby preventing spillage. The moveable sensor head/brew allows beverage brewing devices to use servers of various heights. Raising the sensor head/brew cup causes the level sensor probes to rotate upward out of the server, thereby protecting the probes from impact by the server when it is removed from the brewing device. When the level sensor probes are in the upward position they touch electrical contacts completing a self-test circuit confirming electrical continuity through the level sensor probes.

The full face flexible oxygen mask for use with flight helmets includes an elastic face seal with an oronasal cone that seals around the nose and mouth of the wearer, and flexible sealing flaps along the perimeter of the face seal to adapt the face piece of the mask to seal against the surface of a flight helmet. The mask face piece has two large sealing surfaces or channels down each side of the mask that overlap and flex to adapt to seal to a variety of flight helmets. The top of the face seal has an inner and outer flap that work together to seal the exposed face visible between the sides of the flight helmet.

A pleating machine () is provided which allows extremely rapid, uniform pleating of flexible, tubular bodies (), thereby eliminating the arduous and time-consuming task of manual pleating. The machine () includes an upper, stationary, female tubular jaw () and a lower, reciprocal, male tubular pleating jaw () which are oriented in superposed, substantially axial alignment, along with a drive assembly () serving to vertically reciprocate lower jaw (). An elongated rod-type body support () extends downwardly through the upper jaw () and presents a pleating surface (), so that upon reciprocation of lower jaw (), the jaw lugs () successively engage the body () to form pleats (). The pleats () are retained by keeper structure including inwardly extending female jaw segments () and weighted slide () mounted on support ().

A multi-phase headset () for aircraft crew members is provided which includes an inflatable gas mask unit () and a visor unit (), supported on the head of a user () by mounting assembly (). The overall headset () also has a selectively and/or automatically operable motive and control assembly (). Preferably; the mounting assembly () includes a pair of ear pieces () and a strap assembly () to allow positioning of the headset () on the user's head, with the mask and visor units () adjacent the crown of the user's head. In the event of an emergency, the mask unit () is lowered and the mask body () is inflated for delivery of breathable gas to the user (). Also, the visor unit () may be lowered to a use position atop mask unit (). The pneumatically or electrically operated motive and control assembly () serves to move the mask and visor units () between their retracted and deployed position. In order to prevent ingress of smoke, physical seals or air curtain passageways () may be provided along the upper and lower margins of the visor and mask units ().

Multi-phase headset for pilots

A valve assembly () including a valve body () and a position-indicating knob assembly () is provided wherein the assembly () indicates three different valve positions, namely valve closed, partially opened and full open positions. The preferred assembly () includes a rotatable knob () including a viewing port () therein, together with an indicator ring () having three differently colored regions () corresponding to the different valve positions. A coupling assembly () operably couples the knob () and indicator () so that the individual colored regions () come into view through the port () when the valve body () reaches the different valve positions. The assembly () is particularly useful with valves requiring greater than one revolution between valve closed and valve full open positions, such as valves used in conjunction with emergency oxygen cylinders on aircraft.

A mask and harness system for use in providing breathing oxygen and protection from pollutants for the eyes and respiratory system as might be encountered in high altitude aviation environments. In one preferred embodiment, the mask system has a face seal, a soft flexible lens, a pneumatically-actuated harness, and a regulator with microphone to control the flow of oxygen and to facilitate communications in aircraft flight decks and other aircraft compartments. The system is designed for required five-second donning with one hand and because of the flexible lens, is capable of storage in the relatively preferred on crowded flight decks. It is connected to an oxygen source and, optionally, with aircraft communications. The regulator controls the flow rate of oxygen to the wearer based on altitude and physiological requirements. The regulator includes a valve for purging the condensation-prone moist gases from the lens area and provides positive pressure in the mask. A second preferred embodiment molds the lens and mask seal of a single material having sufficient optical quality and flexibility to accomplish both purposes.
