A paging simulcast station remote control system decoder. The paging system decoder responds to signals generated in accordance with a predetermined signalling scheme comprising a series of tones and timed pauses. The decoder is also responsive to user programmable switches which provide station function tone and sector information. The paging system decoder then selectively deactivates a paging simulcast transmitter in response to signals received through a conventional paging communication link.

Control of the paging base station is effected through a signalling scheme comprising a combination of tones and timed pauses generated in response to control signals supplied either manually or by a paging terminal. The paging system is capable of transitions between binary and analog modulation modes without first dekeying the paging transmitter.

Paging universal remote control encoder

The invention is a microphonics suppression means for a high frequency resonant cavity. The resonant cavity is used in a RF oscillator to generate UHF/VHF frequencies. The resonant cavity comprises an outer wall portion, a center conductor portion, a tuning slug and a plurality of coupling probes. The coupling probes, tuning slug and center conductor are held in a fixed relationship by a microphonics suppression means made of a low dielectric material which fits over and around the center conductor and encapsulates the coupling probes and collars the tuning slug. The microphonics suppression means reduces the effect of microphonics on the output signal of the RF oscillator, thus allowing a clean output signal suitable for high power applications.

An FM radio receiver with a discriminator having connected thereto a plurality of bandpass filters, each tuned to pass a different portion of the audio spectrum from the discriminator, and circuitry connected to the bandpass filters for selecting the filter with the lowest output signal which is an indication of the amplitude of the noise and, hence, the quality of the signal being received by the receiver.
