An apparatus configured to fog test eyewear includes an environmentally controlled chamber, a head form disposed within the chamber, a radiator disposed within the chamber, the radiator connected to a liquid cooling system, and a humidifier device configured to deliver a flow of warm moist air towards the frontal portion of the head form and a surface of the eyewear. A camera is disposed within the head form, the camera aligned with a first opening in a frontal portion of the head form and configured to detect a target image within the chamber while the flow of warm moist air is delivered. A processor is configured to calculate a contrast difference between a background of the target image detected by the camera and resolution bars of the target image detected by the camera, plot a contrast ratio from the calculated contrast difference against a known calibration standard and calculate a performance measure of an anti-fog device of the eyewear.

Fog tester

A two person portable apparatus () for reducing the core temperature of one or more human beings includes a trough () made of a waterproof, flexible fabric () and a generally rectangular frame (). Portions () of the fabric () are looped over sides () of the frame () so that the trough is supported by and suspended from the frame. The apparatus includes four legs () hinged to corners of the frame and pivotable inwardly under the trough. Cooling water is placed in the trough and the hands and forearms of human beings are immersed in the cooling water.

Arm immersion cooling apparatus and method

An assembly for testing a durability of a soft body armor system includes a top mounting assembly, a bottom mounting assembly, the soft body armor system being fixedly disposed between the top mounting assembly and the bottom mounting assembly, a rotary actuator coupled to the top mounting assembly, the rotary actuator configured to rotate the top mounting assembly in a range of approximately +90 degrees to and including &#x2212;90 degrees, a linear bearing on each end of the bottom mounting assembly, and a bearing rod on which each linear bearing is configured to ride. A rotation of the top mounting assembly induces torsional, axial and bending forces substantially simultaneously on the soft body armor system.

Soft body armor durability tester

A protective glove comprising a first portion for covering the palm-side of a wearer's hand and a second portion that is attached to the first portion and which covers the back side of the wearer's hand. The first portion is comprised of a single, seamless piece of pliable plastic molded in a three-dimensional shape that conforms to the shape of a hand in a relaxed position. The second portion is comprised of a cut resistant material. The protective glove includes thumb and finger stalls. Each stall has a first side corresponding to the palm side of the wearer's hand and a second side that corresponds to the back side of the wearer's hand. Each stall is comprised of the molded, pliable plastic except for a portion of the second side of each stall which is comprised of the cut resistant material. In one embodiment, the cut resistant material is also liquid resistant.
