A compound that includes an aqueous dispersion, wherein the dispersion includes a thermoplastic resin and at least one stabilizing agent, and at least one selected from the group consisting of a colorant and a magnetic pigment, wherein the dispersion has an average volume diameter particle size from about 0.05 to about 10 microns is described.

Aqueous dispersions for use as toners

Blended polyolefin dispersions, including: (A) a liquid; (B) an olefin-based polymer dispersed in the liquid, the dispersed olefin-based polymer having an average particle size ranging from 0.1 to 5 microns; and (C) an alpha-beta unsaturated carboxylic acid-based polymer dispersed in the liquid, the dispersed alpha-beta unsaturated carboxylic acid-based polymer having an average particle size ranging from 0.02 microns to 1 micron. Coatings, froths, foams, toners, and other various uses for the blended dispersions are also disclosed.

Blended polyolefin dispersions

A dispersion and methods for forming a dispersion that includes a catalytic linear multi-block olefin interpolymer, and at least one dispersing agent, wherein the catalytic linear multi-block olefin interpolymer includes at least one hard segment and at least one soft segment is disclosed. Dispersions of olefin block copolymers

Olefin polymer-based, durable, open-cell foam compositions, structures and articles derived from same; methods for preparation of such foams; and use of the dry durable foams in various applications are disclosed. Further described is use of the foams and structures and articles made of same in absorption, filtration, insulation, cushioning and backing applications, and in particular for odor removal, hygiene and medical applications due to, among other properties, good absorption capabilities, softness and/or flexibility of the foams and their recyclable nature.

Durable foam of olefin polymers, methods of making foam and articles prepared from same

Sheet-like products, such as tissue products made from a low-density web, are disclosed containing an additive composition. The additive composition, for instance, comprises an aqueous dispersion containing an alpha-olefin polymer, and an ethylene-carboxylic acid copolymer. The additive composition may be applied to the surface of the web so that it does not thoroughly or even substantially penetrate the web. For instance, the additive may be applied to one or both surfaces of the web by gravure printing, press coating, spraying or the like. The additive composition may improve the strength of the tissue web and/or improve the perceived softness of the web.

Low-density web and method of applying an additive composition thereto

The adhesion between a low surface energy (i.e., nonpolar) material, e.g., a polyolefin such as polyethylene, and a high surface energy (i.e., polar) material, e.g., a polyester, polyurethane, polycarbonate or polylactic acid, is promoted by blending with the nonpolar material typically from 15 to less than 50 wt % of a diol-based thermoplastic polyurethane (d-TPU), e.g., a polydiene diol-based TPU, based on the combined weight of the nonpolar material and the d-TPU. The promoted adhesion allows for the effective painting, printing, over-molding or HF-welding of a nonpolar substrate, e.g., a polyolefin film, with a polar coating, e.g., a paint, ink, etc. Aqueous dispersions can also be made from the blend of nonpolar material and d-TPU.

Articles comprising nonpolar polyolefin and polyurethane, and methods for their preparation and use

Compounds and methods of forming compounds useful as a toner or toner precursor are disclosed. The compounds may include an aqueous dispersion, the dispersion including: (A) at least one thermoplastic resin; and (B) 0 to 5 weight percent of a stabilizing agent, based on the total weight of (A) and (B). The dispersion may have an average volume diameter particle size from about 0.05 to about 10 microns. A combined amount of the thermoplastic resin and the stabilizing agent may have an acid number of less than 25 mg KOH/g.

Compounds and methods of forming compounds useful as a toner

Dispersions and methods for forming dispersions that include a higher crystallinity polyolefin and at least one dispersing agent are disclosed. Various applications for use of the dispersions are also disclosed.

Dispersions of higher crystallinity olefins

An aqueous dispersions including (A) at least one ethylene-based polyolefin forming a dispersed polymer phase; (B) at least one dispersing agent; and (C) water; wherein the dispersion has a pH of less than 12; and wherein the dispersed polymer phase has a volume average particle size of less than about 5 microns. In other aspects, an article or a substrate including a coating, wherein the coating was obtained from an aqueous dispersion comprising (A) at least one of an ethylene-based polyolefin and a propylene-based polyolefin; (B) at least one dispersing agent; and (C) water; wherein the dispersion had a pH of less than 12.

Froth and durable foam of dispersed olefin polymers, methods of making foam and articles prepared from same

Fully diluted hard surface cleaners are disclosed which are particularly effective on cleaning soap scum. The cleaners contain at least 0.45 eq/kg of a dissolved anion which reacts with calcium ion to form an insoluble salt. The cleaners also contain a particular amine oxide, or a different surfactant in conjunction with a solvent. Preferred embodiments include a bleach, which provide for a cleaner which is effective on soap scum and mold and mildew.
