In one aspect, a shroud assembly for headgear comprises a frame having a first side configured to face toward an exterior surface of the headgear and a second side opposite the first side and configured to face away from the headgear, the frame formed of a moldable material. An insert, which is configured for removable attachment to a helmet mount assembly, is coupled to the frame, wherein the frame is overmolded onto the insert. In further aspects, a helmet mounting system and method for the manufacture of a headgear shroud assembly are provided.

A helmet mount apparatus includes a track assembly and a sliding carriage assembly slidable coupled to the track assembly. A combined vertical adjustment and pivot assembly pivotally is coupled to the sliding carriage assembly, wherein the combined vertical adjustment and pivot assembly includes a bracket for attaching a viewing device.

Reclining helmet mount apparatus

A helmet mount apparatus includes a reclining mount assembly having transversely spaced apart pivot arms. An upper end of each pivot arm is attached to a mount base member and configured for pivoting movement about a first transverse pivot axis. A lower end of each pivot arm is attached to a viewing device and configured for pivoting movement about a second transverse pivot axis. The pivot arms are pivotable about the first transverse pivot axis between a viewing position in front of an eye of a user and a stowed position above the helmet. The pivot arms are pivotable about the second transverse pivot axis to adjust a viewing angle of the viewing device or reduce a profile of the viewing device when the pivot arms are in the viewing position or stowed position, respectively.

A mount for attaching an optical scope to a weapon includes a base and front and rear lower clamping members extending from the base. The rear lower clamping member is axially spaced apart from the front lower clamping member. A front upper clamping member is attached to the front lower clamping member to define a front scope ring having a front cylindrical bore. A rear upper clamping member is attached to the rear lower clamping member to define a rear scope ring having a rear cylindrical bore, and wherein the front and rear cylindrical bores are co-aligned with a first axis. An accessory mount configured to receive a weapon accessory extends from the front upper clamping member and has an elongate portion extending along a second axis. The first axis and second axis are parallel and the second axis is laterally offset with respect to the first axis.

A grenade launcher apparatus having an integral fire control system includes a receiver having a fore end portion, a pivotally attached to the fore end portion, the barrel having a muzzle end and a breech end. A trigger assembly is coupled to the receiver adjacent the breech end of the barrel and a hand grip is attached to the receiver adjacent the trigger assembly. A buttstock assembly is coupled to the receiver and a fire control system secured to the fore end portion of the receiver. In another aspect, a fire control system is provided. A junction box for a weapon accessory device is provided for electrically coupling a remote control unit to the weapon accessory device, the remote control unit having one or more manually actuatable switches. The junction box comprises a housing having a mounting face and a connection face, wherein the mounting face is configured to face a complementary mounting surface of the weapon accessory device when the junction box is mounted to the weapon accessory device. The connection face is configured to couple to an electrical cable electrically coupled to the remote control unit. A plurality of electrical conductors are held within the housing and comprise mating contact portions disposed at the mounting face and configured to contact aligned contacts on the weapon accessory device.

A shroud assembly for headgear includes a frame having a first side configured to face toward an exterior surface of the headgear and a second side opposite the first side and configured to face away from the headgear, the first side having a shape that matches a contour of the headgear. An insert separately formed from the frame is removably attached to the first side of the frame, the insert configured for removable attachment to a mounting assembly. The frame includes first and second spaced apart walls disposed on the front side of the frame on opposite sides of the insert, the first and second walls spaced a sufficient distance apart to provide an interference fit between the mounting assembly and the first and second spaced apart walls.

A pressure pad accessory controller for a weapon includes a rail interface, a pressure pad portion, a keypad having one or more user-depressible control elements disposed on the pressure pad portion, and one or more electrical connectors for operably coupling the keypad to one or more accessory devices.

A laser accessory device comprises a housing having a front side having a port, a rear side opposite the front side, a left side, a right side opposite the left side, a top side, and a bottom side opposite the top side. One or more laser emitters within the housing are configured to emit a beam through the port. The sight assembly includes an optical range finder for calculating a distance to a selected target and a camera having a zoom lens assembly and an optical sensor for generating an image signal representative of a target scene including a selected target. The zoom lens assembly includes a zoom controller and zoom lens optical elements, wherein the zoom controller is configured to change a magnification of the zoom lens optical elements responsive to a calculated distance to the selected target. A ballistic helmet system having an integrated circuit layer electrically coupled to one or more powered devices, where the ballistic helmet is configured to operate and control the powered devices. The ballistic helmet system comprises a base layer configured to retain the circuit layer. The circuit layer comprises one or more circuit substrates, which may be formed of a flexible material capable of withstanding elevated temperatures that may result from the bonding and curing process of the helmet components.

A helmet mount system for attaching a device to a helmet comprises a threaded interface assembly having an outer portion and a threaded insert received within a cavity formed in the outer portion. The outer portion has an inward facing surface configured to receive an adhesive layer for coupling the inward facing surface to a surface of the helmet. In a further aspect, a ballistic helmet having the helmet mount system herein is provided, wherein the helmet mount system does not penetrate a ballistic layer of the ballistic shell.

A modular helmet interface with a mounting cleat, threaded insert, and adhesive layer is provided. In one aspect, a mounting cleat is affixed to a helmet, such as a ballistic helmet, by an adhesive layer, the mounting cleat having an outer portion and a threaded insert within a cavity formed in the outer portion. The outer portion has an inward facing surface configured to receive an adhesive layer for coupling the inward facing surface to the helmet surface. In another aspect, a mounting cleat is secured to a helmet by way of a cleat-receiving securing member, the securing member affixed to the helmet by an adhesive layer. In a more limited aspect, a helmet having multiple mounting cleats configured to support an accessory mounting rail or a helmet mount assembly.
