A method includes parsing a text source document to construct a document node tree such that the document node tree includes text offsets indicating the location of the text within the text source document corresponding to each node of the document node tree. The method includes constructing, from the document node tree, a Document Object Model (DOM) and a view node tree that represents the DOM. The constructing of the view node tree includes mapping the view node tree to the document node tree. The method includes providing a running representation of the DOM such that DOM elements of the DOM are linked to the text within the text source document corresponding to the DOM elements via the view node tree and the document node tree.

The method includes constructing, from the document node tree, a Document Object Model (DOM) and a view node tree that represents the DOM. A system and method for efficient and private peer-to-peer file sharing consists of ascribing a uniquely identified and anonymous link (an 'edgelink') to any file or set of files on a peer computer. The link is registered with a publishing server along with continuously updated connectivity information about the peer without registering any identifying information about the file. A peer recipient is able to access the link, receive connectivity information about the publishing peer from the server, and then receive the file from the publishing peer without file content passing through the server, mediating any intermediary NAT devices without requiring any manual or automatic device reconfiguration.

System and method for anonymous addressing of content on network peers and for private peer-to-peer file sharing

The present invention provides technologies for forming an editing interface for editing arbitrary objects. In particular, the present invention provides system and methods for enumerating object properties, selecting a suitable pre-existing object editor and, if no such pre-existing editor is available, constructing an object editor on the fly suitable for editing the properties of the object where the object may include properties and/or collections of objects. Construction of a suitable editor is based on enumeration of object properties and on the serialization of the object using a descriptive language such as extensible markup language ('XML') or the like. Property values specified by a user via the object interface and editors are stored in a descriptive format such as XML and generally specify the initial characteristics of the object.
