A fuel cap includes a filler-neck closure adapted to mate with a filler neck to close a mouth opening into a fuel-conducting passageway formed in the filler neck. The filler-neck closure includes a vacuum-relief valve and a handle arranged to overlie the filler-neck closure and gripped by a user during removal of the fuel cap from the filler neck.

Fuel vapor transfer system

Inlet control valves for use with fuel delivery systems are described. An example inlet control valve includes a first body portion having a first coupling to define an inlet of the control valve and one of a plurality of fasteners or a plurality of slots opposite the inlet. A second body portion coupled to the first body portion to define a fluid flow passageway, where the second body portion has a second coupling to define an outlet of the control valve and the other one of the plurality of fasteners or the plurality of slots opposite the outlet. The first plurality of slots receives the first plurality of fasteners when the first body portion is coupled to the second body portion. A valve is pivotally coupled relative to the first and second body portions to control fluid flow through the passageway.

A fuel cap includes a filler-neck closure including a pressure-relief valve and a vacuum-relief valve and a handle arranged to overlie the filler-neck closure. The fuel cap also includes a torque-transmission ring arranged to lie between the handle and the filler-neck closure.

A fuel tank vent system includes a carbon canister and an engine fuel system coupled to the carbon canister. Fuel vapor discharged from a fuel tank included in the engine fuel system flows during certain conditions into the carbon canister to encounter charcoal stored in the carbon canister. Hydrocarbon material associated with the discharged fuel vapor is captured by the charcoal and a stream of cleaned vapor is discharged from the carbon canister to the atmosphere.

A cooling system apparatus includes a coolant tank, an overflow tank coupled to the coolant tank, and a pressure regulator. The pressure regulator regulates flow of fluid discharged from the coolant tank into the overflow tank.

A fuel cap is provided for use in a filler neck of a tank of a vehicle having body portions which are conductive. The fuel cap includes a housing sized to fit into the filler neck and a cover coupled to an upper end of the housing. The cover is made of a non-conductive resin and an electrically conductive coating covering at least a portion of the non-conductive resin. The coating has a thickness of between approximately 0.1 and 0.6 mil. The fuel cap further includes a conductive discharge member having a first end engaged with the electrically conductive coating of the cover and a second end adapted to be coupled to one of the filler neck and the body of the vehicle to dissipate static charge.

A filler neck closure includes a closure base, a handle, and an apparatus mount. The closure base is adapted to mate with a fuel tank filler neck to close an opening into a fuel-conducting passageway formed in the fuel tank filler neck. In certain embodiments, a fuel treatment apparatus and/or vent apparatus is coupled to the apparatus mount.

A vent apparatus includes a valve assembly and a tank mount adapted to support the valve assembly in a mounting aperture formed in a fuel tank. The valve assembly includes a movable vent valve and a valve housing containing the movable vent valve. A labyrinthine boundary is established between the valve housing and the tank mount to provide a low-permeation joint therebetween. The valve housing is made of a non-weldable plastics material and the tank mount is made of a weldable plastics material.

A foldable hand truck apparatus having 1) a main support frame assembly; 2) a support wheel assembly connected to the main support frame assembly which resembles a conventional hand truck structure; 3) an extendable handle assembly having a handle support tube which is anchored to the main support frame assembly; and 4) a dual foldable load assembly pivotally connected to the main support frame assembly. The extendable handle assembly includes a handle member telescopingly mounted within the handle support tube and movable from a compact storage position laterally of the handle support tube to a locked usage position. The dual foldable load assembly includes a luggage or large article support frame and a load support plate, both pivotally connected to a lower portion of the main support frame assembly. The load support plate is first pivotal to a position 90 degrees perpendicular to the main support frame assembly for carrying smaller loads thereon or gripping an edge portion of an article to be moved. The luggage or large article support frame is pivotal to a position parallel to the load support plate and similarly perpendicular to the main support frame assembly for carrying articles of larger width than can be carried on the load support plate.
