A compact multi-function weight training exerciser employs handlebar levers that are angularly adjustable by releasable, splined connections with respect to the pivot shaft that they operate so that the rest positions of the respective levers can be disposed in various angularly displaced locations to enable the performance of a variety of exercises.

Compact multi-function weight-training exerciser

A compact multi-function weight-training exerciser having at least one pivoted handlebar lever efficiently matches liftable weight-training resistance to the exercising forces applied by the user. The handlebar levers can be simply and easily reconfigured in a variety of rest positions to facilitate a variety of exercises. Cable and linkages are efficiently laid out and housed within the frame of the apparatus.

An adjustable, floor-supported exercise bench has an articulated frame which can be locked in a horizontal position or inclined with the center portion of the frame depressed to provide proper support for a user and a fixed 'reach' relative to an exercise member, regardless of the inclinations of the bench cushions.

Articulated storable exercise bench

A cable-operated exercising apparatus having at least two mechanisms for lifting a downwardly biased, vertically guided carriage. At least one of the lifting mechanisms is a cable which is maintained taut when the carriage is lifted by the other lifting mechanism so as not to become entangled with the apparatus.

Cable-operated exerciser

A floor-supported multiple exercise device having an adjustable bench assembly and a user-engageable pulley system. The adjustable bench assembly is pivotable between a first raised position, a second, lowered position proximate its base, and a third declined position. The pulley system allows the resistance to be moved directly or indirectly. When moved indirectly, the pulley system employs a traveling pulley assembly.

Multiple exercise device

A wall mounted exercise unit, particularly adapted for home or personal use. The exercise unit is readily stored in a folded position and includes an exercise bench which may be pivoted at an intermediate location to provide a wide range of exercise positions. Various accessory units may be readily incorporated into the exercise unit. The exercise unit may include a carriage assembly which allows the user to selectively exert a lifting force equal to either the full amount of weight set on the exercise unit, or only a portion of the weight set.

Wall mounted exercise unit

An abdominal/back exerciser is disclosed. The exerciser includes a frame having spaced side members and a seat attached to the frame between the side members. Foot braces extend between the side members on each side of the seat. A generally U-shaped lever assembly includes parallel side legs and a padded torso-engaging member interconnecting the side legs. The side legs are pivotally connected to the side members at a pivot axis intermediate their length. Weights are mounted at the distal end of each side leg. A stop mechanism limits the downward movement of the side legs to a start position wherein the torso-engaging member is elevated above the seat, whereby a user seated on the seat can lean against the torso-engaging member and rotate the lever assembly to raise the weights thereby exercising his abdominal muscles when facing the torso-engaging member or exercising his lower back muscles when seated with his back to the torso-engaging member.

Abdominal and back weight type exercising device

An abdominal/back exercising apparatus having a lever assembly engageable buy either the front or the back of the user's torso and pivotable in either a first direction from a null position a second opposite direction from the null position to pull a flexible element which actuates a resistance mechanism. The flexible element may be a strap, and the resistance mechanism a stack of selectable weights.
