A grease absorbing system for disposing of excess cooking grease or used cooking oil includes a grease absorbing member. In embodiments of the invention the grease absorbing member comprises an inner portion constructed of a grease absorbent material and an exterior layer enveloping the inner portion or a pair of exterior layers on either side of a plurality of medial layers. The exterior layer or layers are constructed of a grease permeable material for permitting grease to permeate through the exterior layer and into the inner portion or medial layers.

A grease absorbing system for providing a system for disposing of excess cooking grease. The grease absorbing system includes a grease absorbing member. The grease absorbing member comprises an inner portion constructed of a grease absorbent material and an exterior layer enveloping the inner portion. The exterior layer is constructed of a grease permeable material for permitting grease to permeate through the exterior layer and into the inner portion.

Method of absorbing grease during cooking

Laminated carpeting consisting of a secondary backing adhered to a greige good of yarn tufted into a primary backing are prepared from polyurethane adhesives by single puddle processes which allow for lowered use of polyurethane while producing carpets exhibiting excellent delamination strength. Preferably, a reactive polyurethane system is employed as a primary adhesive, and the secondary backing is skip-coated with a minor amount of a non-advancing skip coat.

Urethane adhesive-laminated carpeting

Microcellular polyurethane elastomers having sharply reduced or virtually no urea linkages may be prepared without resort to organic physical blowing agents by frothing a frothable mixture containing isocyanate reactive polyols and chain extenders, and a frothable isocyanate component. The isocyanate component is derived by reacting a stoichiometric excess of a di- or polyisocyanate with a polyol component containing an ultra-low unsaturation polyol. The froth-produced elastomers surprisingly exhibit greatly improved tear strengths, compression set, and other physical properties as compared to all water-blown microcellular elastomers of the same density.

Permanent gas blown microcellular polyurethane elastomers

Elastomers exhibiting decreased demold times and improved green strength are prepared by reacting a di- or polyisocyanate with a monodisperse polyoxypropylene diol having ultra-low unsaturation, and preferably prepared by the double metal cyanide.t-butyl alcohol catalyzed polymerization of propylene oxide. Further improved demold times and elevated elastomer physical properties are made possible by the use of multidisperse polyoxyalkylene polyether polyol blends having an overall unsaturation of less than 0.010 meq/g and a polydispersity of about 1.4 or greater.

Polyurethane elastomers having improved green strength and demold time,

Polyurethane elastomers exhibiting improved green strength while maintaining short demold times are prepared from ultra-low unsaturation polyoxypropylene polyols containing up to 20 weight percent internal random oxyethylene moieties. The elastomers adsorb less than 10 weight percent water at 0.degree. C. The internal polyoxyethylene moiety-containing polyoxypropylene polyols may be used to prepare ultra-low unsaturation polyoxyethylene capped polyols which are haze-free and which may be used to prepare haze-free 4,4'-MDI prepolymers. Multidisperse blends of monodisperse internal oxyethylene moiety-containing polyoxypropylene polyols of ultra-low unsaturation provide yet further improvements in elastomer processing.
