An impulse mechanism for a vibratory device includes an eccentrically weighted shaft that is adapted to be rotated to create vibratory forces. A fan component is mounted on the eccentrically weighted shaft. The fan component has a plurality of fan blades spaced around its periphery.

Method and apparatus for cooling the impulse mechanism of a vibratory device

A method for operating an aggregate material processing plant according to two alternative modes of operation. In a first operating mode, unprocessed aggregate material is deposited onto a crusher feed conveyor and then fed to a crusher. The crusher produces crushed aggregate material, which is conveyed by a collection conveyor to a vibratory screen assembly at a first speed. The vibratory screen assembly sizes aggregate material deposited onto an upper screen deck thereof. Unscreened aggregate material is conveyed by a transfer conveyor to the crusher feed conveyor. In a second operating mode, unprocessed aggregate material is deposited onto the vibratory screen assembly, which sizes the aggregate material. The transfer conveyor conveys unscreened aggregate material to the crusher feed conveyor. The crusher feed conveyor feeds aggregate material to the crusher, which produces crushed aggregate material. The collection conveyor conveys crushed aggregate material to the vibratory screen assembly at a second speed.

Method of use of aggregate processing equipment

A filter system for ambient air to remove airborne particulates in air that is to be used for engine operation. A filter media that is pervious to air and impervious to the particulates may be coupled to a filtered air chamber, which in turn may supply filtered air to the engine's air intake system. In various embodiments, the engine's air intake may be used utilized to draw air through the filter media into the filtered air chamber. An pressurized gas pulsing system may be used to periodically urge reverse airflow through the bag walls to maintain the permeability of the walls to the clean air.

Crusher in-feed conveyor method and apparatus

A rock crushing plant including rock crushers, screens and conveyors. The assembly is modularized whereby major components and associated support structures are organized into movable modules that are independently movable from site to site over public roadways. The modules are equipped with appropriate support wheels for traveling and stabilizing jacks for stabilization of the modules at a rock crushing site. Modifications are made to certain of the components to satisfy road height and width restrictions, e.g., folding conveyors. Each module is preferably equipped with its own power plant.

A system for controlling the operation of an item of equipment for processing materials to produce a product which includes aggregate materials of various particle sizes in a predetermined weight ratio includes a sampling device for obtaining a sample of the product from a predetermined location and a gradation assembly. The gradation assembly includes a plurality of gradation screens and a weighing pan for measuring the weight of aggregate material. The gradation screens are supported by a frame in a generally horizontal attitude in a stacked arrangement, so that each screen in the stack has screen openings that are smaller than those of the screen immediately above it in the stack. The assembly also includes a vibrator for vibrating the screens and a mechanism for sequentially depositing the aggregate material that is retained on each screen or that passes through all of the screens in the weighing pan. The system determines the ratios of the weights of the amounts of the aggregate materials that are retained on each of the screens or that passes through all of the screens to the total weight of the sample, and compares each of the ratios so determined to a predetermined standard. The system also adjusts the operation of the item of equipment if the ratio of the weight of the aggregate materials that are retained on any of the screens or that passes through all of the screens to the total weight of the sample fails to meet the predetermined standard.

Automatic gradation unit

A system for controlling the operation of a first item of equipment for processing materials in connection with the production of a product which includes aggregate materials and a volatile component includes an oven, a gradation assembly having a plurality of screens, and a mechanism for transporting aggregate materials from the oven to the gradation assembly. The system also includes a mechanism for controlling the operation of an item of equipment if one or more of the ratios of the weight of the aggregate materials that are retained on any of the screens or that pass through all of the screens to the total weight of the aggregate materials fails to meet a predetermined standard. A preferred embodiment of the system also includes a mechanism for controlling the operation of a second item of equipment for combining asphalt cement and aggregate materials if the ratio of the weight of the asphalt cement in a sample of the product to the total weight of the sample fails to meet a predetermined standard.

Processing a product including aggregate materials and a volatile component

An adjustment mechanism for a rock crusher has an insert installed in the thread form of a bowl support and a locking ring. A bowl is threadably installed in the bowl support and lock ring assembly and is movable toward and away from a cone assembly. The insert is of a material that differs from that of the bowl and bowl support. The lock ring is movable to frictionally lock the thread forms of the bowl and bowl support against each other. The inserts prevent the galling and deformation of the thread forms previously experienced.
