Systems and methods of the present disclosure are directed to providing an electronic document storage (EDS) system enabling companies or customers to upload electronic documents to be distributed online. These electronic documents may be made available to one or more specified customers, recipients of the documents, by authenticating login credentials provided by the customers. Metadata used to identify the recipients may be extracted from the electronic files or comprise separate electronic files. The EDS system may ensure that companies cannot access documents uploaded by other companies or customers for other companies, and that customers access only documents that the customers are authorized to access. To provide additional security, the EDS system may accept encrypted electronic documents and decrypt the electronic documents to allow customer access.

Systems and methods for distributing electronic documents

A computer can transmit information about a print job to one or more printers. The computer can transmit the information to the one or more printers prior to transmitting the print job to the printer. The information can be used to indicate to the one or more printers various aspects of the print job.

Systems and methods for information sharing are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system for information sharing includes a host device, an external device that is used in conjunction with the host device, an external bus that the host device and the external device use to communicated with each other, and an information sharing device that is connected to the external bus so as to be able to monitor communications transmitted over the external bus between the host device and the external device, the information sharing device being configured to share information about at least one of the host device and the external device with a user of those devices.

There is disclosed a wired-AND bus emulator circuit that allows any node to prevent propagation of information through the node. A controller can command all other controllers on the bus to break the bus thereby allowing the controller to determine the topology and possibly dynamically program the address of each controller on the bus. By allowing a controller to determine the bus topology, and possibly program the address of each other controller, the bus designer can configure the bus in a topology that is physically convenient. Additionally, the installer is not required to program each node with a unique address.

There is disclosed in interface circuit that nodes on a bus to be galvanically isolated while still having a wired-AND functionality. Once nodes are galvanically isolated, a transceiver can be placed in the bus structure and allow for wire-less communication across the bus without adding additional delays or routing complexity.

A print medium is fed through a printer along a print path that can include one or more devices and a print engine. A plurality of path identifiers are used to identify the different print paths through the printer. According to one embodiment of the invention, a path identifier defines a print path from an input device through the print engine and possibly through an output device. According to another embodiment of the invention, path identifiers are separated into input paths and output paths. An input path identifier defines a print path from an input device to the print engine, while an output path identifier defines a print path from the print engine to an output device.
