The present invention comprises a system dedicated to computerized information management. In particular, the system is efficiently targeted for employment by industries such as insurance and financial services where it is of interest to effect integrated prospect selection and management. To this end, the present invention can prevent multiple agents from pursuing the same lead at the same time, while collecting data on effectiveness of leads from agents to thereby enhance the quality of prospect information, as well as providing a capability so that an individual agent can tailor particular lead selection preferences.

Qualified and targeted lead selection and delivery system

A system and a method for developing and dynamically constructing multi-tiered distributed computing applications using a framework which allows the major elements involved in enterprise software applications, namely, the user interface, the data access, and the processing logic, to be independently developed. Moreover, the applications are dynamically created at time of use with pre-built software components or objects. The specifics of the applications such as functions, capabilities, user interface (UI) characteristics, etc., may depend on, for example, the user identity, the user preferences, and the terminal capability. Software development cost and turn-around time are reduced, promoting consistent UI design thus reducing user training cost, and allowing the applications to be dynamically created according to the user profile.

Distributed application assembly

A method for retrieving information from a database includes pre-scoring each of a plurality of records in the database to determine their relevance to a particular item of interest, specifying at least one trait corresponding to a type of information sought to be retrieved, searching the database to derive a collection of records which satisfy the trait, and ordering the records in the first collection to identify the records most relevant to the item of interest. In order to further derive the most relevant records, a plurality of traits may be specified to effect multiple levels of searching. A predetermined number of the records may then be output without superfluous information, to increase the density, clarity, and coherency of the output. Records may then be selected for pursuit. A system and computer process implement one or more steps of the method.
