A system and method for indicating an alert associated with a mobile device are provided. The system includes a device detector to detect whether the mobile device is in a state of wireless charging; an exit signal receiver to detect an event associated with an exit; a device determiner to determine, after the event is detected, whether the mobile device is in an area associated with the wireless charging; and a vehicle notifier to transmit an alert based the determination by the device determiner. Also provided is a method for augmenting a wireless charging system with a notification system.

A system and method for selecting a configuration of coils in response to a multi-coil wireless charging system initiating charging are provided. The system includes a ping generator to measure a reference coil peak voltage for each of the coils of the multi-coil wireless charging system; an object detector to detect that an object is placed on a surface associated with the wireless charging system; a charge detector to detect that the object is chargeable; and in response to the object being chargeable, a switch transmitter determines which of the coils of the multi-coil wireless charging system to connect to a power source.

A dome-shaped aluminum screw cover is adapted to be placed over the head of a self-tapping concrete screw that is used to fasten a metal structure to concrete on a house or building. A concave inner surface of the screw cover provides a space between the cover and the screw head for receiving a charge of silicone adhesive that bonds the cover to the metal structure and screw head, while also providing a watertight seal around the screw head that minimizes entry of moisture and corrosion of the screw. The screw cover is preferably of the same color as the metal structure so as to reduce its visibility while effectively concealing the unsightly screw head.

To protect the class II integrated circuit bus from negative transients, the present invention uses a clamp circuit which is biased from the battery and referenced to ground as opposed to being biased and referenced to ground. Thus, the current path is not from ground to the bus pin. Instead, it is from the battery through a blocking diode, a transistor, a resistor and a plurality of diodes to the bus pin yet referenced to ground. In a preferred embodiment, the present invention consists of a transient protection circuit including a reference diode with its cathode connected to ground, a transistor biased as a current source having its output terminal operably connected to an anode of the reference diode, and at least a second diode operably connected between the anode of the reference diode and a bus pin, whereby the transistor supplies current when a module ground is intact.

The present invention provides a motor control circuit including a motor with a motor winding and a brush, a battery, a relay, and a ground return circuit. The battery is for energizing the motor. The relay selectively provides connection between the battery and the motor. A ground return circuit is in communication with the brush. The ground return circuit creates a path from the brush through the relay to an electrical ground.

A circuit for controlling a motor's operation is disclosed. The circuit includes a relay and a motor braking circuit portion. The relay selectively interconnects a voltage source with one of a braking terminal and a motor terminal. The motor braking circuit portion has a motor brake switch connected on a first switch side to the motor terminal and a second switch side to the electrical ground. The brake switch is activated to brake the motor when the relay interconnects the voltage source with the braking terminal.
