A vehicle lamp assembly includes a light source that emits light, a side marker lamp having a lens, and a frustum reflector that guides light from the light source to the lens of the side marker lamp. A vehicle lighting method includes emitting light from a light source into a frustum reflector, redirecting the light within the frustum reflector, and illuminating a side marker lamp using the light redirected within the frustum reflector.

A sidemarker light assembly includes a support bracket, a light blade carried on the support bracket and a light source in communication with the first end of the light blade. Light from that light source is then transmitted through the light blade and emitted from a second end of the light blade to provide a sidemarker indication. An apparatus, according to one example includes, among other things, a first panel with a first alignment feature, a first lamp installed on the first panel, a second panel adjacent the first panel and including a second alignment feature, and a second lamp installed on the second panel. A lift system moves the first and second lamps to respectively engage the first and second alignment features and align the first and second lamps. A method according to one example includes, among other things, a step of aligning the first and second lamps with each other by independently moving the first and second lamps to respectively engage the first and second alignment features.

A vehicular signal assembly that includes an inner chamber defined by a substrate comprising LED light sources and spaced apart, corresponding Fresnel lenses; and an outer chamber defined by the Fresnel lenses and an outer lens comprising optical elements. The outer lens can have a width of at least 12 mm. Further, each LED source emanates incident light directly through the chambers to produce a light pattern with a contrast ratio of 3:1 or less, e.g., a daytime running light pattern. Each LED source can also emanate incident light directly through the corresponding Fresnel lens an outer lens to produce the daytime running light pattern.

A lamp assembly is provided for installation in an opening of a vehicle body. The lamp assembly includes a lamp container having first and second sides, each of the first and second sides integrally including first and second stops, and at least one clip assembly including a clip, a threaded bolt, and a nut. The clip has a connecting wall with respective first and second side walls extending from the connecting wall, and first and second tabs extending inwardly respectively from the first and second side walls, the threaded bolt being inserted through an opening in the connecting wall of the clip, and the nut being threaded onto the bolt. When the lamp assembly is in a pre-compressed position, the nut is spaced away from the stops, and, when the lamp assembly is in a compressed position, at least one of the nut and the connecting wall contacts the stops.

A bracket coupling a headlamp module to a fixed structure is sandwiched between two ribs that constrain the bracket in only the cross-car direction. Internal clearances in the bracket or rib features for accepting attachment bolts are designed to provide fore/aft and up/down position adjustments. The sandwich structure can be locked in (i.e., compressed) for a rigid, final attachment to the vehicle which will nevertheless allow sliding of the bracket within the ribs when subjected to the forces corresponding to an impact.
