A disposable electronically controlled infusion pump system includes at least one disposable infusion container and at least one disposable electronically controlled medication pumping system. The at least one disposable infusion container is configured to contain infusion fluid. The at least one disposable electronically controlled medication pumping system is fluidly connected to the at least one disposable infusion container. The at least one disposable electronically controlled medication pumping system includes an infusion channel, a disposable electronically controlled micropump, and valves, but may further include a microprocessor, a memory, a battery or a power receiver configured to wirelessly receive power, a wireless communication device, and other components. The memory is in electronic communication with the microprocessor. The wireless communication device is configured to receive a wireless signal which wirelessly controls the at least one disposable electronically controlled medication pumping system. The disposable electronically controlled micropump is configured to pump the infusion fluid through the infusion channel. The valves are connected to the infusion channel.

Disposable infusion fluid delivery device for programmable large volume drug delivery

Infusion fluid is flowed through a fluid delivery line of an infusion system. Optical signals having different wavelengths are transmitted through the fluid delivery line. The transmitted optical signals having the different wavelengths are received. At least one processor determines whether air or infusion fluid is disposed in the fluid delivery line based on the received optical signals having the different wavelengths.

Infusion system and method which utilizes dual wavelength optical air-in-line detection

An infusion system determines a volumetric flow rate of infusion fluid delivered by an infusion pump along a flow path based on: an upstream acoustic signal emitted by at least one upstream acoustic sensor and detected by at least one downstream acoustic sensor; a downstream acoustic signal emitted by the downstream acoustic signal and detected by the upstream acoustic sensor; and a phase delay between the upstream acoustic signal and the downstream acoustic signal either upstream or downstream. The infusion system automatically adjusts the infusion pump based on the determined volumetric flow rate to achieve a desired volumetric flow rate of the infusion fluid along the flow path.

A photoacoustic detector wherein a detector response transfer function can be measured at various times under predetermined conditions during the life of the detector. One or more of the time related transfer functions each can, when acquired, be compared to the stored initial transfer function established at initial manufacture and calibration of the detector. Span and baseline correction values can be determined. These values can be used to compensate detected output values during normal operation. Time related transfer functions can be compared to each other as well as to the stored initial transfer function.

A source of near-infrared structured light illuminates the ear with at least one structured pattern and an image acquisition device captures a near-infrared image of an ear illuminated with a structured pattern of near-infrared light. An analysis area of the near-infrared image is processed to extract identifying features and it is determined if the identifying features correspond to an authorized user. The analysis area of the near-infrared image is processed to determine a reflectivity of the ear and it is determined if the reflectivity corresponds to an ear of a living person. The user is authenticated if the classified identifying features correspond to an authorized user and the reflectivity corresponds to an ear of a living person.
