A foldable umbrella includes a post; a stationary hub secured to an upper end of the post; a canopy centrally secured to the stationary hub; a sleeve slidably mounted on the post; a plurality of radially oriented ribs secured to the canopy in equiangularly spaced relation, each rib having a radially inner end and a radially outward end; a plurality of foldable strut assemblies, each strut assembly connected between the sleeve and a respective one of the ribs, each strut assembly including a first strut having one end pivotally connected at a first pivot point to the sleeve and a second end pivotally connected to a respective one of the ribs at a second pivot point spaced radially outwardly from the radially inner end of the rib, a second strut having one end pivotally connected at a third pivot point to the stationary hub and a second end pivotally connected at a fourth pivot point to an intermediate point of the first strut, and a third strut having one end pivotally connected at a fifth pivot point to an intermediate point of the second strut and a second end pivotally connected at a sixth pivot point to the respective one of the ribs, the sixth pivot point being positioned radially inward of the second pivot point; and a U-shaped channel mounted to each rib for receiving the first strut therein when the umbrella is in an open configuration.

A flat folding writing instrument includes a generally planar elongated support, the support including a lengthwise direction, and at least two spaced apart living hinges extending in a generally lengthwise direction of the support, so as to divide the support into at least three lengthwise extending sections. A further hinge extends in a generally widthwise direction of the support so as to divide the support into two widthwise extending sections. The support also has two opposite lengthwise edges and a bottom edge. A writing member is secured to one of the lengthwise extending sections in one of the widthwise extending sections, and has a writing point thereof extending below the bottom edge of the support. A locking assembly is provided for securing the two lengthwise extending edges together when the support is folded along the hinges. The support can be folded along the lengthwise extending hinges such that the two opposite lengthwise edges are adjacent to each other and locked in position relative to each other by the locking assembly, so that the writing instrument can be used for writing. A pen cover is provided on the other widthwise extending section for engaging or covering the writing point of the writing member when the support is folded along the further widthwise extending hinge.

An electrically conductive condom includes a generally cylindrical protective sheath having an open end for receiving a penis therein and an opposite closed end, the sheath being made from a thin, elastic, electrically conductive material which may be formed from a non-conductive elastic material having electrically conductive particles embedded therein. The electrically conductive material is preferably a thin elastomeric material with small conductive particles, such as carbon and/or silver particles, embedded therein. A reinforcing layer may be secured to the open end of the sheath. Optionally, a retaining strap may be secured to the reinforcing layer for retaining the sheath on a person, and quick release is provided for releasably securing the retaining strap about a person so as to releasably secure the sheath on the person.

Electrically conductive covering for a human body part

An allergy testing apparatus for testing a patient for a plurality of allergies at the same time comprises an actuating member resiliently suspended from a frame member and which is movable relative to the frame member. A plurality of spaced apart substance sources are mounted in the frame member below the actuating member. A plurality of spaced apart needles or the like are mounted on the actuating member and extend in the same direction so as to pierce the respective substance sources during movement of the actuating member toward the skin of a patient to apply the substances to the skin of a patient. According to another feature of the invention, the device is shaped like a rotatable, drum-like device, having a plurality of layers. The needles or the like are covered over by a resilient layer, and substance containing means are mounted over the resilient layer and in registration with the respective needles. When the device is pressed against the skin of a patient, the resilient layer compresses, permitting the needles to pierce the substance containers to apply the substances to the skin of a patient. Adjustable length substance carrying means are also disclosed.

A windproof umbrella includes a post having a lower end to be grasped by a user and an opposite upper end; a plurality of ribs extending outwardly in a radial direction from the upper end of the post; a lower canopy secured in covering relation on the ribs, the lower canopy including a plurality of vent holes therethrough; a channel forming member secured to the lower canopy in surrounding relation to each lower vent hole for further preventing entry of water therethrough; an upper canopy positioned over the lower canopy in covering relation to all lower vent holes, the upper canopy including at least one upper vent hole therethrough positioned closer to the free ends of the ribs than the at least one lower vent hole, an outer peripheral edge and a plurality of slits extending inwardly in a radial direction from the outer peripheral edge thereof, each slit being arranged generally in line with one rib, the upper canopy having dimensions less than those of the lower canopy; and elastic fastening straps securing the upper canopy between the upper end of the post and the free ends of the ribs with an elastic tautness.

A manual push feeder device for a woodworking machine, includes a rubber base for engaging a workpiece to be moved along the woodworking machine, the base including an upper portion and a lower rubber-like pushing surface for engaging the workpiece, the lower pushing surface including a plurality of serrations or studs thereon, and a stud extending upwardly from the upper surface thereof; a handler having an upper end and a lower end with a stud thereat; a flexible connector for flexibly connecting the lower end of the handle to the base, the flexible connector including a flexible tube have an upper hole for receiving the stud of the handle and a lower hole for receiving the stud of the base; and a grip for permitting an operator to grasp and move the manual push feeder device, the grip connector to the upper end of the handle.
