A game call archery release assembly for actuating an animal call while drawing an archery bow includes an archery release that is weareable on a wrist of a user. The archery release engages a string on an archery bow for drawing and subsequently releasing the string. The archery release includes a wrist strap and a trigger portion. An electronic game call is integrated into the archery release. The electronic game call emits an audible sound when the electronic game call is actuated to attract a game animal. Moreover, the electronic game call is actuatable while the string on the archery bow is drawn facilitate hands free use.

Disclosed herein are polysiloxane-polycarbonate copolymer articles. In one embodiment, a &#x215b;inch thick bar formed from the thermoplastic composition has a B-Y ratio of less than or equal to about 1.75. This article, which has a dimension that is greater than or equal to 1.5 cm, comprises the thermoplastic composition which comprises a polysiloxane-polycarbonate copolymer, wherein the copolymer comprises repeating diorganosiloxane units of formula (1): wherein each R is, independently, a Cmonovalent organic group; and E has an average value of 20 to 35.

A monomer and polycarbonate resin are provided, as are methods of making the monomer. The resin may be used to provide a thin film that has a higher dielectric constant and higher glass transition temperature, and similar breakdown strength and similar dissipation factor to films prepared from polycarbonate resins not so modified. The thin films, in turn, may advantageously be used to form, wholly or in part, articles such as capacitors, sensors, batteries, flexible printed circuit boards, keyboard membranes, motor/transformer insulations, cable wrappings, industrial tapes, interior coverage materials, and the like. Weatherable, thermostable polymers having improved flow composition

A polysiloxane copolymer composition comprises: a polysiloxane unit comprising 4 to 50 siloxane units, and a polyester-polycarbonate unit consisting of 50 to 100 mole percent of arylate ester units, less than 50 mole percent aromatic carbonate units, less than 30 mole percent resorcinol carbonate units, and less than 35 mole percent bisphenol carbonate units, wherein the siloxane units are present in the polysiloxane unit in an amount of 0.2 to 10 wt % of the total weight of the polysiloxane copolymer composition, and wherein the polysiloxane copolymer composition has a 2 minute integrated heat release rate of less than or equal to 65 kilowatt-minutes per square meter (kW-min/m) and a peak heat release rate of less than 65 kilowatts per square meter (kW/m) as measured using the method of FAR F25.4, in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulation FAR 25.853 (d). A window article for an aircraft, comprising the polysiloxane copolymer composition, is also disclosed.

A method for preparing an aliphatic chloroformate comprising, introducing a mixture of at least one aliphatic hydroxyl compound, phosgene, at least one solvent, and optionally at least one organic base into a flow reactor to obtain a unidirectional flowing reaction mixture. The at least one aliphatic hydroxyl compound comprises at least one aliphatic hydroxyl group. The unidirectional flowing reaction mixture is maintained at a temperature between about 0&#xb0; C. and about 60&#xb0; C. to produce a single product stream comprising an aliphatic chloroformate.

Polycarbonate compositions having an aromatic polycarbonate resin with 90% or greater fluoroalkylene carbonate end-groups are formed from a partially fluorinated alcohol or a partially fluorinated polymeric alcohol, and a bisphenol and a carbonate source using melt or interfacial polymerization methods. A copolymer composition comprises a polysiloxane block of Formula XIX or XXII, having 4 to 50 siloxane units, and a polyarylate-polycarbonate block consisting essentially of 50 to 99 mol % arylate polyester units and 1 to 50 mol % aromatic carbonate units, wherein 1 to 30 mole percent of the aromatic carbonate units are resorcinol carbonates, and 0 to 35 mol % of the aromatic carbonate units are bisphenol carbonates; wherein the sum of mole percentages of arylate polyester units, and aromatic carbonate units is 100 mol %; the polysiloxane blocks connect to an arylate ester unit, and/or an aromatic carbonate unit; the siloxane units of the polysiloxane block are present at 0.2 to 10 wt % based on weight of the copolymer composition; and a molded article of 3.2&#xb1;0.12 millimeters thickness and consisting of the copolymer composition has a percent transmittance greater than or equal to 70%, according to ASTM D1003-00.

A polycarbonate such as aliphatic/aromatic polycarbonate comprises repeating structural carbonate units of the formula (H-1): in which Ris a radical having the formula (H-2): wherein each of R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, and Ris independently a hydrogen, a C-Calkyl group, or a halogen substituted C-Calkyl group. The polycarbonate, and a thermoplastic composition thereof, have improved thermal stability, cost-effectiveness, and exhibit improved manufacturability such as, for example, minimum cyclic carbonate formation and minimum amine acceptor requirement.
