An ejector device comprises a housing () having a motive fluid inlet () to receive motive fluid, a suction fluid inlet () to receive suction fluid and a fluid outlet () to output the motive fluid and the suction fluid. The ejector device comprises a nozzle and diffuser assembly () configured to fit within the housing (). The nozzle and diffuser assembly () comprises a nozzle (), a diffuser () and a connecting structure () connecting the nozzle () to the diffuserThe connecting structure () is configured to permit fluid flow between the nozzle () and the diffuser (). The connecting structure () has apertures () configured to allow fluid to be drawn into the fluid flow between the nozzleand the diffuser ().

Ejector device

An ejector device (), e.g., for pumping a gas using a liquid motive fluid, has an injector portion (), and a diffuser portion (), the injector portion () being arranged for injecting a flow of motive fluid from a motive fluid inlet () into an inlet section () of the diffuser portion () thereby to draw a suction fluid from a suction fluid inlet () into the inlet section () of the diffuser portion (). The injector portion () includes a flow-modifying arrangement with at least one rotational deflector element (), e.g., three vanes (VVV) each at a desired twist angle, constructed and arranged to deflect motive fluid into a helical path as it moves over or through the rotational deflector element (), and at least one baffle element (), e.g., a baffle plate (), downstream of the rotational deflector element ().

Embodiments of the invention provide liquid pump apparatus. The apparatus may comprise an immersion assembly comprising at least one immersion member having a liquid conduit provided therein along at least a portion of a length thereof, the immersion assembly being arranged whereby in use at least a portion of the immersion assembly is immersed in liquid to be pumped, the apparatus being arranged to provide a supply of gaseous fluid to liquid in the tank through the at least one immersion member at one of a plurality of vertically spaced apart locations of the assembly thereby to cause passage of liquid through the assembly from a liquid inlet aperture to a liquid outlet aperture of the assembly, the apparatus being configured whereby a location at which gaseous fluid is supplied to the immersion assembly is selected to be a location at which a head of pressure of liquid in the tank is within a prescribed range of values.
