Methods and apparatus for positioning an orifice plate within a body having a straight flowbore. One embodiment includes a carrier supporting the orifice plate and a drive member operable to engage the carrier and move the carrier along a first axis perpendicular to the flowbore. The drive member is also operable to limit the movement of the carrier along a second axis perpendicular to the flowbore and perpendicular to the first axis. A pin is operable to engage the carrier so as to limit movement along the first axis.

Dual chamber orifice fitting plate support

An orifice fitting having a drainage system. In some embodiments, the orifice fitting includes a housing having a chamber therein, a flow path extending through the chamber, an orifice plate moveable between a first position in the flow path and a second position outside of the flow path, and a rotatable shaft extending through the housing into the chamber. The shaft has a flowbore extending between a first fluid inlet in fluid communication with the chamber and a fluid outlet formed adjacent the end of the shaft.

Orifice fitting with a drainage system

Apparatus and methods for operating a dual chamber orifice fitting. The dual chamber orifice fitting comprises a body having a lower chamber and a top having an upper chamber. An aperture connects the upper chamber to the lower chamber. A closure member is pivotally mounted to the fitting and pivots about a first axis between a first position and a second position. A pivot arm is rotatably mounted to the body and engages the closure member so that rotation of the pivot arm about a second axis pivots said closure member about the first axis between the first and second positions.

Dual chamber orifice fitting isolation valve

A bi-directional orifice plate assembly is disclosed. In an embodiment, the orifice plate assembly includes a first ring member, a second ring member, an orifice plate disposed between the first and second ring members, a first seal assembly disposed between the first ring member and the orifice plate, and a second seal assembly disposed between the second ring member and the orifice plate. The first ring member includes a first plurality of arms having latching portions, and the second ring member includes a second plurality of arms having latching portions. Both ring members include latch-receiving recesses. The latching portions of the arms of the first ring member engage the latch-receiving recesses of the second ring member, while the latching portion of the arms of the second ring member engage the latch-receiving recesses in the first ring member.

Bi-directional orifice plate assembly

Methods and apparatus for sealing an aperture that provides fluid communication between a second and first chamber of a dual chamber orifice fitting. A sealing assembly comprises a closure member that is rotatably moveable between an open and closed position relative to the aperture. A secondary seal is disposed within a recessed portion on a sealing face of the closure member. The recessed portion has a perimeter defined by a shoulder A primary seal is disposed within a groove formed between the shoulder and the secondary seal.

Isolation valve seal

An orifice installation for centering the orifice aperture within a plate carrying device is disclosed. The orifice installation uses an orifice plate in cooperation with a seal that surrounds the outer edge of the orifice plate to seal the plate to a fitting. Reliefs are formed in the nonsealing portion of the surface of the seal through which the orifice plate outer circumference protrudes. The carrying device is provided to receive the plate and the seal. A mechanism including an intermediate interface is provided to have contact between the carrying device and the protrusions in order to use the manufacturing tolerances of the plate and the carrying device to center the plate in the carrying device.
