An air diffuser of a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a mixing chamber having a circulation inlet and a mixing region, a room air intake fluidly coupled with the circulation inlet and separated from the mixing region by a blank-off plate, and a nozzle. The nozzle is disposed adjacent to the circulation inlet and configured to accelerate a conditioned air flow into the mixing region such that unconditioned room air is induced by the conditioned air flow to enter the mixing region through the circulation inlet and from the room air intake.

A chilled beam includes a body having a first side and a second side opposite to the first side. The chilled beam also includes a first mounting bracket coupled to the first side and configured to rotate against a first bias of the first mounting bracket in response to a first force against the first mounting bracket. The blade also includes an undulated contour extending along the leading edge and into and out of the width.

A round or rectangular ceiling diffuser includes a blade. The blade includes a leading edge configured to face an incoming air flow and having an undulated contour extending along a closed-loop formed by the blade. The blade also includes a trailing edge opposite to the leading edge, where a width of the blade extends from the leading edge to the trailing edge and the undulated contour extends into and out of the width.

Undulated surface enhancement of diffuser blades for round and rectangular ceiling diffuser

A variable air volume diffuser and method of operation are disclosed. The system includes an energy harvesting device, a ring-shaped damper and a frame adapted to interface with the ring-shaped damper, wherein the ring-shaped damper is driven by energy harvested from the energy harvesting device.
