This invention provides a double adjustable weeding disk support device in order to make rapid and positive adjustments of the depth and cut of the weeding disks. This invention is characterized by a shaft having conventional weeding disks rotatably mounted on the lower end and a series of openings near the other end. The shaft projects upward through openings in the frame crossbar of a conventional cultivator, through an opening in a plate mounted in rigid relationship with the frame crossbar and through the collar mounted on an adjustment arm with the shaft being fixed by means of bolt through opposite openings in the collar and through an opening in the shaft. The adjustable arm can be held in fixed relationship with the fixed plate by inserting a bolt through mating openings in the adjustment arm and in the plate.

Cultivator disc adjuster

A trip shank mechanism including a tool bar, an upper support member fixedly attached to the upper side of the tool bar, a lower support member fixedly attached to the lower side of the tool bar and a bracket pivotally connected to the lower support member. A toggle link mechanism is supported between the upper support member and the bracket member and includes an upper and a lower link member pivotally connected at respective first portions thereof by a first pivotal connection. A second pivotal connection pivotally mounts a second portion of the upper link member to the upper support member and a third pivotal connection pivotally mounts a second portion of the lower link member to the bracket member. The first pivot connection is located at an intermediate position between the second and third pivot connections. A biasing mechanism mounted on the upper support member with one end thereof pivotally attached to an intermediate portion of the upper link member. The biasing mechanism normally retains the upper and lower link members in substantially linear alignment with each other. An earthworking tool is fixedly attached to the pivotal bracket member and is movable between a working position wherein the upper and lower link members are in substantially linear alignment with each other and the first pivot connection is in a first position spaced from an imaginary plane passing through the axes of the second and third pivot connections and a non-working position wherein the upper and lower link members are angularly related to each other and the first pivot connection is in a second position spaced from the first position.

Trip shank mechanism

An agricultural implement having a primary frame on which is mounted an adjustable secondary support frame through connecting links and depth control screws enabling adjustment of the secondary support frame relative to the primary frame while maintaining the secondary support frame in generally parallel relation to the plane of the primary frame. First tools such as disk gangs are carried by the secondary support frame, while different type tools such as shank mounted earth working points and contiguous moldboards are mounted on the primary frame spaced from the first tools. Wheels mounted on the primary frame enable raising of the primary and secondary frames and associated tools for transport, and are adjustable to serve as gauge wheels for the earth working points and moldboards.
