An example apparatus includes a viewer to generate a request for patient content and to display at least a subset of the patient content according to a hanging protocol. The example apparatus includes a search service to query a plurality of sources for the patient content based on a patient identifier. The example query is to return meta data to generate at least one token encapsulating a location of identified patient content and an indication of access to the identified patient content. The example apparatus includes a streaming service to obtain the identified patient content using the at least one token and to provide the identified patient content to the viewer for display.

Techniques for orchestrating execution of algorithms on medical images according to pre-defined workflows and techniques for managing workflow and model execution are provided. In an embodiment, a system comprises a memory that stores computer executable components and a processor that executes the computer executable components stored in the memory. The computer executable components comprise an algorithm catalog that comprises algorithm information identifying algorithms available for processing medical images, the algorithm information comprising algorithm execution instructions for executing the algorithms as web-services; and an onboarding component that adds the algorithm information to the algorithm catalog in response to reception of the algorithm information via an onboarding user interface of an algorithm management application, wherein based on inclusion of the algorithm information in the algorithm catalog, the algorithms are made available for incorporating into workflows for executing the algorithms on the medical images.

Systems and methods are provided for integrating artificial intelligence (AI) workflows. In one example, a method includes receiving, from a medical image storage device, an instance availability notification, in response to determining that the notification indicates that one or more medical images have been saved at the medical image storage device, querying the medical image storage device to retrieve metadata associated with the one or more medical images, initiating a work-item with an AI orchestration platform for the metadata, and receiving, from the AI orchestration platform via the work-item, AI results related to the one or more medical images.

Systems and methods for universal artificial intelligence integration services

Systems and methods for expediting medical image retrieval based on examination priority are provided. A method includes receiving medical images and parsing the contents to determine medical image information. The method includes applying priority rules based on the medical image information. The priority rules specify an image storage location for storing the medical images. The image storage locations include workstation cache memory and drives of a local storage system having different image access speeds that are slower than an access speed of the workstation cache memory. The method includes storing the medical images at the specified image storage location as defined by the priority rules and retrieving the medical images from the specified image storage location in response to a request to view the medical images at a workstation. The method includes presenting the medical images retrieved from the specified image storage location at a display device of the workstation.
