A method for remodeling a heart chamber. A catheter system can be used to deliver implants to the heart chamber. A user can use a handle to adjust the tension of sutures between the implants to adjust the size of the heart chamber. The heart chamber can be remodeled at specific dimensions to address cardiomyopathy in a patient-specific manner.

A storage jar assembly for use with a prosthetic heart valve is disclosed in several embodiments. As one example, a storage jar assembly can include a jar having an open end and configured to receive a prosthetic heart valve. The embodiment also includes a lid configured to cover the open end of the jar. The lid can include a plurality of valve attachment features configured to be releasably attached to corresponding features of the prosthetic heart valve.

Disclosed herein are embodiments of methods of using stabilizers for use in delivering a replacement heart valve. The stabilizers can receive a portion of a delivery system, such as a handle, to prevent unwanted motion of the delivery system. The stabilizer can include a linear actuator for adjusting a position of the delivery system once held within the stabilizer.

A mitral valve prosthesis includes an expandable frame having a proximal end, a distal end, and a middle portion. A plurality of tips extends from the proximal end of the frame for attachment to a delivery catheter. A plurality of anchors is disposed along the distal end of the frame and extend toward the proximal end for engaging tissue. An outer circumferential portion extends around the middle portion of the frame and is positioned radially outwardly of the frame. The outer circumferential portion preferably increases in diameter along a distal direction. A distal end of the outer circumferential portion is located distal of free ends of the anchors when the expandable frame is deployed. A valve body is positioned within an interior of the expandable frame and includes leaflets adapted to allow flow in a first direction and prevent flow in a second direction.

Replacement heart valves and methods of delivery

Devices, systems and methods are described herein to provide improved steerability for delivering a prosthesis to a body location, for example, for delivering a replacement mitral valve to a native mitral valve location. The steerable delivery system can contain a steerable rail configured for multi-plane bending to direct a distal end of the delivery system.

A device for intravascular intervention can comprise an intervention element, an elongate manipulation member, and a joining element. The elongate element can comprise a hooked portion extending about a proximal portion of the intervention element. The hooked portion can comprise a bend. The hooked portion can have (i) no substantial surface crack at an interior region of the bend and (ii) a maximum lateral dimension that is less than 0.027 inch. The joining element can substantially permanently attach the hooked portion to the intervention element.

Connection of a manipulation member to an endovascular intervention device

Methods for delivering a replacement heart valve include advancing a delivery system through a femoral vein and into the atrium of a heart, wherein the delivery system includes an outer sheath assembly, a mid shaft assembly and an inner assembly. The outer sheath assembly and the mid shaft assembly are adapted to retain the replacement heart valve in a radially compacted state over the inner assembly. The outer sheath assembly is retracted to allow a plurality of distal anchors to self-expand while a portion of the replacement heart valve remains retained in a compacted state by the mid shaft assembly. The distal anchors are positioned to engage one or more native leaflets and the retained portion of the replacement heart valve is then released and allowed to fully expand for implanting the replacement heart valve within the native valve.

Prosthesis, delivery device and methods of use

Disclosed herein are embodiments of adapters that can be used to translate and/or rotate the position of a delivery system, such as for use with a replacement mitral valve. The adapters can allow for three-dimensional motion of the delivery system, thus allow for precise positioning and movement of the delivery system during use by an operator.

The delivery system can include a nose cone which can cover at least a first end of the prosthesis, an outer elongate member which can cover at least a second end of the prosthesis, and a tether which can at least partially restrain the prosthesis from deployment.
