A method includes causing, via a cutting mechanism, creases to be formed within a packaging material, causing one or more items to be deposited on the packaging material, causing, via a folding mechanism, at least a first side and a second side of the packaging material to be folded to at least partially form a cavity in which the one or more items reside, causing, via a conveyance mechanism, at least a first end and a second end of the packaging material to be folded to at least partially form the cavity, causing the first side and the second side to be sealed, causing, via the conveyance mechanism, the packaging material to be conveyed to a sealing mechanism, and causing, via the sealing mechanism, the first end and the second end to be sealed.

Systems and methods are disclosed for dynamic adhesive application for roll-formed containers. In one embodiment, an example system may include a first conveyor configured to convey a packaging material, and an adhesive application system configured to apply adhesive to the packaging material, the adhesive application system having an adhesive applicator configured to dispense adhesive, and an applicator support assembly configured to support the adhesive applicator. The adhesive support assembly may be configured to move the adhesive applicator in two dimensions, where the adhesive application system can apply adhesive along three edges of the packaging material.

In one embodiment, an example container for an item may include a rectangular sheet of formable material, the rectangular sheet having a first crease line, a second crease line separated from the second crease line by a distance, a first crease pattern disposed adjacent to the first crease line, and a second crease pattern disposed adjacent to the second crease line. The container may include a sealant disposed about three sides of the rectangular sheet.

A fluidic device comprises a channel, a gate, and one or more additional elements. The channel is configured to transport a fluid from a source to a drain. The gate includes a chamber with an adjustable volume that affects fluid flow within the channel by displacing a wall of the channel toward an opposite wall of the channel based in part on fluid pressure within the chamber exceeding a threshold pressure. A high pressure state of the gate corresponds to a first chamber size and a first flow rate of the fluid. A low pressure state of the gate corresponds to a second chamber size that is smaller than the first chamber size and a second flow rate that is greater than the first flow rate. The additional elements are configured to reduce the threshold pressure past which the chamber decreases the cross-sectional area of the channel.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for roll-formed containers for shipping. In one embodiment, an example method may include determining, using a first sensor system, a first dimension of a first item, determining a length of packaging material to use for packing the first item based at least in part on the first dimension, and causing a first crease line and a second crease line to be formed on a surface of the packaging material. Some methods may include causing a first side of the packaging material to be folded over the first item, causing a second side of the packaging material to be folded over the first side of the packaging material to form an overlapping portion, and causing ends of the packaging material to be pressed to form a package, where the first item is disposed in the package.

A wearable device comprises one or more deformable signaling pathways wherein each deformable signaling pathway is configured to enable an electrical connection between two devices electrically connected to each other via the deformable signaling pathway. A deformable signaling pathway includes one or more conductive elements surrounded by a conductive gel. Both the conductive gel and the one or more conductive elements are encased in an elastomeric shell. The elastomeric shell is attached to terminals (e.g., one on either end). The one or more connectors are attached to one another such that the one or more connectors span the length of the elastomeric shell and form a low resistance contact between the terminals of the deformable signaling pathway.
