This disclosure relates to managing user presence in a unified communications system. A method is provided where a computing device establishes a wireless connection with a peripheral device. The computing device has a native dialer application and a unified communications client (UCC) application. A communication session is initiated via the native dialer, utilizing the peripheral device. The native dialer updates a device profile for the peripheral device with state information reflecting active engagement. The UCC application obtains this state information and updates the user's presence status to indicate current engagement in the communication session. The UCC application may communicate the user's presence status to a cloud-based service, allowing proper handling of incoming communication requests. The method ensures accurate reflection of user availability across multiple devices and applications, enhancing the communication experience within a unified communications environment.

Communications management leveraging status information from shared resources

Systems and methods may be used for providing a location of a device during an emergency communication. These systems and methods may include operations (e.g., performed by a processor), including detecting that an emergency service call has been started at the device, and initiating a digital assistant in response to detecting that the emergency service call has been started. The systems and methods may include operations including parsing audio during the emergency service call to determine a request for location information, and providing audio, by the digital assistant during the emergency service call, indicating a location based on location information determined at the device.

Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for improved data transmissions using puncturing and binary sequences. A receiving device receives a sequenced data input that includes a set of individual values and performs a puncturing of the sequenced data input, yielding a punctured sequenced data input. The receiving device calculates correlation values for the punctured sequence data input and a set of predetermined data outputs. The receiving device determines whether any of the resulting correlation values exceeds a threshold correlation value. In response to determining that the correlation value calculated based on one of the predetermined data outputs exceeds the threshold correlation value, the receiving device determines that the sequenced data input corresponds to the predetermined data output.

Data transmission using puncturing and code sequences

Techniques for endpoint configuration for a communication session are described. According to various implementations, a cloud-based connectivity service maintains network path information that identifies routing paths for routing communication sessions across different networks. The connectivity service is also able to determine configuration information for configuring endpoint devices to participate in a communication session. According to various implementations, configuration information is determined based on a packet quality of a routing path. Thus, an endpoint device can apply the configuration information to attempt to increase packet quality across a routing path, and thus increase media quality for a communication session at the endpoint device.
