Various embodiments are directed to a compact respirator assembly comprising a respirator housing; and a compact blower assembly, the compact blower assembly comprising an impeller configured to pull a volume of air into a blower assembly air inlet; a blower scroll configured to receive the volume of air and direct the volume of air toward a blower scroll air outlet, the blower scroll comprising: a first blower scroll component comprising at least a portion of a blower frame element comprising a portion of the respirator housing; a second blower scroll component comprising a scroll cover secured to the blower frame element so as to define an internal scroll flow chamber, wherein the internal scroll flow chamber comprises a cavity positioned between the scroll cover and the blower frame element; and wherein the blower scroll air inlet comprises an opening that extends through a thickness of the respirator housing.

Compact respirator assembly

A powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR). The PAPR comprises an air pump comprising an electric motor, an eccentric venturi communicatively coupled to an air channel of the air pump, wherein the eccentric venturi comprises a first sensor port and a second sensor port, a differential air pressure sensor mechanically coupled to the first sensor port and the second sensor port, and a controller that is communicatively coupled to an electrical output of the differential air pressure sensor and to the electric motor, wherein the controller is configured to control the speed of the electric motor to maintain a predefined rate of flow of purified air based on the electrical output of the differential air pressure sensor.

Apparatuses and systems are disclosed for improved reliability in securing a removable battery pack. An example latch mechanism may include a flexible latch disposed on an outer housing of a removable battery pack, the flexible latch defining an inner surface facing the outer housing and an opposing outer surface, wherein a portion of the opposing outer surface of the flexible latch defines one or more locking tabs that are engageable with one or more engaging slots operatively positioned within a receiving battery enclosure, and wherein the flexible latch is deformable from a first open configuration to a second compressed configuration upon insertion into the battery enclosure.

A low pressure warning device that comprises a piston located inside the device, where the piston partitions the device into a first chamber communicating with a first opening and a second chamber communicating with a second opening, an adjustable stop, and a spring located inside the device and configured to bias the piston to a position based on a position of the adjustable stop and based on a pressure differential between the first opening and the second opening, wherein a low pressure differential warning state is associated with a position of the piston.

Adjustable low pressure warning device

Embodiments relate generally to low pressure warning devices which may be worn with encapsulated protective suits and hoods by a user and may provide audio and visual alerts. In an embodiment, a low pressure warning device may comprise an earpiece operable to be retained to the ear of a user, wherein the earpiece may comprise a control system operable to sense the pressure inside the encapsulated protective suit or hood and activate the audio and/or visual alerts when necessary. In an embodiment, the low pressure warning device may be equipped with short range wireless communication capabilities.
