This application provides a communication method and apparatus, and relates to the field of communication technologies. In the method, a first communication apparatus determines a first index indicating a first precoding vector, and sends the first index to a second communication apparatus. The second communication apparatus receives the first index from the first communication apparatus, determines the first precoding vector based on the first index, and precodes data based on the first precoding vector. The first precoding vector includes spatial angle information and spatial depth information of a channel between the first communication apparatus and the second communication apparatus.

Communication method and apparatus

This application provides a signal generation method and an apparatus. In the method, a first communication apparatus generates a first signal, and sends the first signal to a second communication apparatus, who receives the first signal, and then demodulates the first signal. A symbol included in the first signal is carried on K+2(M−1) subcarriers. Middle K subcarriers are valid subcarriers, start M−1 subcarriers and last M−1 subcarriers are redundant subcarriers, and a subcarrier spacing between adjacent subcarriers is related to a feature of a time domain pulse used to shape the subcarrier, wherein a width of each of some or all side lobes of a spectrum of the time domain pulse is equal to 1/M of a main lobe width of the time domain pulse, the subcarrier spacing is 1/M of the main lobe width. K is a positive integer, and M is a positive integer greater than 1.

Signal generation method and apparatus

A number K of N sub-channels that are defined by a code and that have associated reliabilities for input bits at N input bit positions, are to be selected to carry bits that are to be encoded. A localization area that includes multiple sub-channels and is located below fewer than K of the N sub-channels in a partial order of the N sub-channels is determined based on one or more coding parameters. The fewer than K sub-channels of the N sub-channels above the localization area in the partial order are selected, and a number of sub-channels from those in the localization area are also selected. The selected fewer than K sub-channels and the number of sub-channels selected from those in the localization area together include K sub-channels to carry the bits that are to be encoded.

Method to generate ordered sequence for polar codes

Encoding of information bit sequences by use of an encoding device having more than two encoding entities is provided. Decoding of output codewords by a decoding device having more than two decoding entities is further provided. The encoding and the decoding are implemented through transmitting output codewords, generated by the encoding device, to the decoding device via a channel, wherein two or more user devices transmit the respective output codewords concurrently via the channel.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a decoding method and apparatus. The method includes: receiving K user signals by using N subcarriers, where one user signal is carried on at least two subcarriers of the N subcarriers, one subcarrier carries at least two user signals of the K user signals, and 2&#x2264;N&#x3c;K; determining, from the N subcarriers, at least two target subcarriers that carry a target user signal, and performing initialization calculation on the target subcarriers, to obtain initialization calculation results; and determining, in a logarithm domain, a probability of each codeword in a codebook of the target user signal according to the initialization calculation results, to decode the target user signal. According to this method, decoding can be performed in the logarithm domain with low complexity.

Decoding method and apparatus

A full duplex radio unit comprising a transmission unit, an antenna, a reception unit, a circulator and a power reduction unit is provided. The transmission unit is adapted to generate a first signal. The circulator is adapted to provide the first signal from the transmission unit to the antenna. The antenna is adapted to transmit the first signal and simultaneously receive a second signal using an identical frequency or frequency band. The circulator is adapted to provide a third signal to the power reduction unit, wherein the third signal comprises the second signal and interference generated from the first signal by the antenna and the circulator. The power reduction unit is adapted to reduce the power of the third signal by multiplying the third signal by factor of &#x221a;&#x3c1;, wherein &#x3c1; is between zero and one, thereby generating a fourth signal.

Embodiments of this application disclose a pilot signal sending and receiving method and apparatus, wherein the pilot signal sending method includes: establishing a first correspondence between a carrier identifier and a pilot pattern of a first type of pilot signal; establishing a second correspondence between a carrier identifier and a resource block set; acquiring a target carrier identifier of a target carrier; determining a location of a target resource block set corresponding to the target carrier identifier; determining a target pilot pattern that is of a first type of pilot signal and that corresponds to the target carrier identifier; mapping, according to the target pilot pattern, the first type of pilot signal to each resource block in the target resource block set on the target carrier. In this method, mapping is performed on a pilot signal only in a resource block set, which may reduce pilot redundancy and overheads.
