Disclosed herein are related to resuming a wireless communication between a first device and a second device. In one aspect, the first deice enters a wake up mode from a sleep mode. In one aspect, the first device receives the beacon frame from the second device, according to the stored information. In one aspect, the first device determines a first time interval to receive a first beacon frame from the second device. Disclosed herein a system, a method and a device for selecting between a primary link and a secondary link for AR/VR applications. A console can provide a VR/AR session to a user through a head wearable display. The console can determine that a first measurement of a primary link between the console and a head wearable display is less than a first threshold. The first measurement can include a quality metric of the primary link. The console can activate a secondary link between the console and the head wearable display. The console can determine whether a second measurement of the primary link between the console and the head wearable display is less than a second threshold. The console can transition when the second measurement is less than the second threshold, traffic on the primary link to the activated secondary link.

Secondary link for AR/VR applications

Disclosed herein are a system, a method and a device for switching between different communications protocols. A head wearable display can transmit, to a console during a first session interval, a first request to switch from a first link using a first communication protocol to a second link using a second communication protocol. The first request can include at least one characteristic of the first link. The head wearable display can receive, from the console, a first response to the first request, to perform a switch from the first link to the second link. The first response can indicate a wake up time and a second session interval to perform the switch. The head wearable display can switch from the first link to the second link in the second session interval and after the wake up time.

Disclosed herein are related to dynamically adjusting a wake time and a sleep time for wireless communication between two or more devices to reduce power consumption. In one aspect, a first device enters a wake up state to wirelessly communicate with a second device for a service period with a determined duration scheduled according to a target wake time (TWT) protocol. In one aspect, the first device monitors for one or more indicators from the second device indicating that additional data is available for communication. In one aspect, the first device extends the service period beyond the determined duration, in response to receiving a first indicator of the one or more indicators. In one aspect, the first device communicates with the second device the additional data during the service period extended beyond the determined duration.

Disclosed herein are related to coordinating communication among a first access point, a first station device, a second access point, and a second station device. In one aspect, the second access point receives, from the first access point, a first beacon of the first access point at a first beacon transmission time. The first beacon may indicate an offset between the first beacon transmission time of the first beacon and a first data transmission time of the first access point for communication between the first access point and a first station device. In one aspect, the second access point may determine, according to the offset, a second data transmission time of the second access point to be distinct from the first data transmission time of the first access point. Disclosed herein are related to a system and a method of remotely rendering artificial reality. In one approach, a console determines an expected transmission end time of a first session for wireless transmission of image data indicating an image of artificial reality to a head wearable display. In one approach, the console determines an expected process end time of generating additional data associated with the image of the artificial reality. In one approach, the console compares the expected transmission end time and the expected process end time. The console may transmit, to the head wearable display in the first session, the additional data together with the image data, in response to the expected process end time being less than the expected transmission end time.

Disclosed herein a system, a method and a device for dynamic scheduling between a head wearable display and a console is provided. The head wearable display can initiate, at a first time instance, a first downlink transmission to the console. The head wearable display can dynamically indicate, to the console, an end of the first downlink transmission, at a second time instance when transfer of data of the first downlink transmission is complete. The head wearable display can dynamically cause, relative to the second time instance, the console to begin an uplink transmission. The head wearable display can receive an indication to dynamically start a second downlink transmission, at a third time instance when transfer of data of the uplink transmission is complete.

Systems and methods for dynamic scheduling

Disclosed herein includes a system, a method, and a device for prioritizing packet retransmission. A transmitting device can insert, for each packet of a plurality of packets of a video frame, a sequence number indicative of an order of the corresponding packet among the plurality of packets, into a header of the corresponding packet according to an application layer protocol. The transmitting device can transmit to the receiving device, at a first level of priority, the plurality of packets including the corresponding inserted sequence numbers. The transmitting device can receive an identification of one or more packets to be retransmitted to the receiving device, the identification based on at least the inserted sequence numbers of the one or more packets. The transmitting device can retransmit the one or more packets at a second level of priority that is higher than the first level of priority.

A device can compress a first slice of a plurality of slices of a video frame to obtain a size of the first slice after compression. The device can estimate a size of the video frame after compression, according to the size of the first slice after compression. The device can generate a request to send (RTS) to reserve, a transmission channel for a transmission duration corresponding to the size of the video frame after compression. The device can broadcast the RTS to one or more other devices.

Systems and methods for iterative distributed beam selection include a device including at least one of a first head wearable display (HWD), a second HWD, a first console or a second console. The device detects a predefined condition. The device performs a first distributed beam selection responsive to detecting the predefined condition. Performing the first distributed beam selection includes performing beamforming to provide a first plurality of beams for a first link between the first HWD and the first console, selecting a first beam of the first link with a highest signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) from the first plurality of beams, performing beamforming to provide a second plurality of beams for a second link between the second HWD and the second console while the first beam of the first link is active, and selecting a second beam of the second link with a highest SINR from the second plurality of beams.
