A rolling element chain ( ) comprises a plurality of rolling elements ( ) arranged in close succession and a longitudinal supporting band ( ). The supporting band ( ) in turn comprises a plurality of recesses ( ) for the accommodation of the rolling elements ( ), a plurality of retaining elements ( ) for retaining the rolling elements accommodated in the recesses ( ), where each rolling element ( ) is assigned at least one retaining element ( ), and at least one longitudinal flexible element ( ) for interconnection of the retaining elements ( ). Each rolling element ( ) is retained, by the at least one retaining element ( ) assigned to it, in the longitudinal direction (L) of the supporting band ( ) either at its leading side only or at its following side only.

Rolling element chain

In a linear guide arrangement ( ) with an elongated guide rail ( ) and a guide carriage ( ) that can travel thereon in the lengthwise direction (L) of the guide rail ( ), a surface of the guide rail ( ) facing the guide carriage ( ) is covered by a cover band ( ). A band securing element ( ) is placed in the vicinity of each of the two longitudinal ends ( ) of the guide rail ( ). The two band securing elements ( ) jointly secure the cover band ( ) at least with respect to its displacement in lengthwise direction (L) of the guide rail ( ), wherein each of the band securing elements ( ) at least impedes movement of the cover band ( ) relative to the guide rail ( ) directed towards the other band securing element ( ). At least one of the band securing elements ( ) can be non-positively engaged with the cover band ( ) as well as with the guide rail ( ).

Linear guide arrangement

A chain of rolling elements comprises a plurality of rolling elements and an elongate carrier belt with a plurality of recesses for receiving the rolling elements, a plurality of retainers for retaining the rolling elements received in the recesses and at least one elongate flexible element for connecting the retainers. The carrier belt comprises two lateral edge portions and a central portion connecting them, the retainers being connected to the at least one flexible element in the lateral edge regions of the carrier belt. Separate retainers are associated with successive rolling elements, at least one retainer associated with each rolling element being provided on the at least one flexible element in the longitudinal direction thereof before and after each rolling element.
