The invention relates to a device for adjustably limiting the maximum speed of an engine powered hand tool controlled by a power-regulating device ( ) located in the handle of the tool. The device makes it possible to optimise the speed of the engine for the job that is to be done. The device consists of a threaded shaft ( ) that is moved by rotating a nut ( ) and a spring ( ). When a higher speed than the selected level is required, is it possible to increase the speed to the maximum speed available by pressing the power-regulating device ( ) with a force that exceeds the force from the spring ( ).

Device for adjustably limiting the engine speed of a hand tool

A system (,) for cleaning of intake air (,) for a fan-cooled combustion engine intended for a working tool, such as a chain saw, cutting machine, grasstrimmer or lawn-mower, whose engine is equipped with a fan wheel (,) enclosed in a fan cover (,) for cooling of the engine. A flow duct (,) is connected to the fan cover (,) at least at one of its both ends (,), and a deflection duct (,) is arranged in the wall of the flow duct (,), so that the ducts (,) are forming a T-like crossing, and the deflection duct leads to the engine's inlet duct (,), usually via an inlet volume (,) and a filter (,).

The engine (,) has at least one inlet port (,) located in the cylinder wall (,) of the engine and/or an adjacent part of the engine crankcase (,), and the engine's inlet duct (,) from the inlet port (,) up to the fuel supply unit (,) has a length longer than 1.8 times the engine cylinder stroke (,), preferably longer than 2.0 times the cylinder stroke (,).
