In various embodiments, systems and methods for ledger-based cookie management are provided. Rather than store cookie data as text files on the local device drive, cookie data is recorded to a blockchain technology cookie ledger store on a network resource. When a client application (e.g., a browser) on the UE is directed to a cloud-based service, and that cloud-based service calls for access to a cookie, that call is processed by a cookie gateway executing on the UE. The cookie gateway may verify authenticity of the user and generate a cookie access token that it transmits to the cloud-based service. The cloud-based service may use the cookie access token to locate the cookie ledger and access one or more records storing cookie data used by the cloud-based service. The cookie access token may expire upon termination of the session between the user equipment and the cloud-based service.

Systems and methods for ledger-based cookie management

A wireless communication system transfers signaling messages between a wireless access node and a wireless user device. The wireless access node and the wireless user device wirelessly exchange user data with one another. The wireless communication system establishes a node signaling link with the wireless access node. The wireless communication system establishes a user signaling link with the wireless user device. The wireless communication system receives a signaling message from the wireless access node over the node signaling link and transfers the signaling message to the wireless user device over the user signaling link. The wireless communication system receives another signaling message from the wireless user device over the user signaling link and transfers the other signaling message to the wireless access node over the node signaling link.

User equipment (UE) control by a non-third generation partnership project (non-3GPP) access node using 3GPP signaling

A method of instantiating a virtual network function (VNF) in a core network of a communication service provider. The method comprises receiving a request to execute a VNF by a VNF manager application executing on a computer system, where the request comprises a file name of a file in an interplanetary file system (IPFS) to be used to launch the VNF, parsing the file name by the VNF manager application to identify a plurality of content identities (CIDs) that each identify fragments of content that comprise the VNF, retrieving the plurality of fragments of content by the VNF manager application from a non-transitory memory, and launching the VNF by the VNF manager application by instantiating the fragments of content comprising instructions that implement the VNF on a computer system and configuring the instructions that implement the VNF based on the fragments of content that comprise data.

Interplanetary file system (IPFS) in instantiating and recording virtual network function (VNF)

A method of establishing an application layer connection between a user equipment (UE) and an application executing on an edge computing node via a communication network. The method comprises receiving an application service availability message by the UE that identifies a plurality of networks that provide access to an identified application executing on an edge computing node within the network; for each network identified in the application service availability message, receiving by the UE an application service figure-of-merit determined by that network associated with a prospective application layer connection between the UE and an edge computing node executing the identified application that is located in that network; based on evaluating the figure-of-merit associated with each network establishing an application layer connection by the UE via the selected network to the application executing on the edge computing node in the selected network.

Systems and methods for ambient noise mitigation as a network service are provided. In some embodiments, an ambient noise mitigation server establishes at least one low latency network slice for at least one UE coupled to a radio access network. The ambient noise mitigation server generates a cancelation signal based on ambient sound mitigation data received by the radio access network, the ambient sound mitigation data including acoustic sensor data representing an ambient sound signal. The cancelation signal is generated to comprise a phase shift with respect to the ambient sound signal computed at least in part as a function of a location of the at least one UE, and causes at least one acoustic emitter to emit an acoustic cancelation signal based on the cancelation signal. In some embodiments, the phase shift may be adjusted by controlling a latency characteristic of the low latency network slice.

Systems and methods for ambient noise mitigation as a network service

User equipment (UE) network radio link state management for ambient electromagnetic power harvesting chip (AEPH) reader applications and devices is provided. In some embodiments, radio link state management services are provided that may be engaged by a UE that can wirelessly communicate both with a wireless telecommunications network, and an AEPH chip. Embodiments may include a method that determines when an AEPH chip communication event is pending, suspends a UE connection state of at least one data channel of the one or more data channels of the UE radio link in response to the determining when the AEPH chip communication event is pending, performs the AEPH chip communication event; and releases suspension of the UE connection state of the at least one data channel of the one or more data channels of the UE radio link.

User equipment network radio link state management for ambient electromagnetic power harvesting chip reader applications and devices

A method of managing execution of a secure application is disclosed. The method comprises receiving an initial profile of an wireless communication device (WCD) by a secure application manager executing on a computer system, storing the initial profile by the secure application manager in a datastore; receiving a request comprising a current profile of the WCD by the secure application manager from an API of a secure application executing on the WCD to invoke an operation of a secure application; comparing the current profile of the WCD by the secure application manager to the initial profile of the WCD stored in the immutable record in the datastore; and in response to determining that the current profile of the WCD matches the initial profile of the WCD, passing the request to invoke an operation of the secure application by the secure application manager to the secure application for execution.

Secure management of execution of an application

Immutable archiving of remote controlled user equipment telemetry-command (TC) data for wireless communications networks systems and applications is provided. In some embodiments, one or more applications executing on the UE report selected TC data to a TC data archiving function. TC data is both captured and preserved by the TC data archiving function in a manner that establishes sufficient integrity for the data for the purpose of establishing an immutable record comprising at least the operating state of a remote operated UE, and commands that a controller UE was sending to the remote operated UE. Determining the TC data selected for archiving may be based on an inflection criteria. In some embodiments, a session block sequence is generated using a distributed application (DApp), and TC data is reported to the TC data archiving function using the session block sequence.

Immutable archiving of remote controlled user equipment telemetry-command data for wireless communications networks systems and applications

Systems and methods for a micro-service data gateway are provided. In some embodiments, the micro-service data gateway comprises at least a micro-service data reflector and a micro-service data synthesizer. The data reflector operates to serve cached micro-service data in response to UE micro-service data requests. The reflector receives requests for micro-service data available from at least one data source exposed by a network exposure function (NEF) of a network operator core, retrieves the micro-service data from a data cache comprising at least a subset of micro-service data available from the data source, and provides the micro-service data to a requestor of the micro-service data. The synthesizer operates to ensure that the cache of micro-service data available to the reflector is fresh and updated. The micro-service data gateway may be positioned near the UE at a network edge of the core network and/or in part implemented within the UE.

Systems and methods for a micro-service data gateway

A wireless communication network comprises a Network Exposure Function (NEF) and an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) to register a User Equipment (UE). The NEF receives a NEF Application Programming Interface (API) call that has a UE instruction. The NEF translates the NEF API call having the UE instruction into an AMF API call that has the UE instruction. The NEF transfers the AMF API call to the AMF. The AMF translates the UE instruction into a registration message that has a registration cause. The AMF transfers the registration message that has the registration cause to the UE. The UE receives the registration message, and in response, identifies networking data based on the registration cause and performs a registration based on the networking data.

Wireless user equipment (UE) registration with networking data responsive to external control

A method of providing a user interface on a mobile communication device to control smart devices in an environment. The method comprises discovering a plurality of smart devices in an environment by a client application executing on a mobile communication device by initiating wireless communication between the mobile communication device and the plurality of smart devices, wherein the client application learns an electronic model identity of each of the discovered smart devices, communicating with a data store by the client application to look-up control interfaces of the discovered smart devices based on the electronic model identities of the smart devices, looking-up predefined environmental preferences associated with the mobile communication device in the data store by the client application, transmitting control commands by the client application to the plurality of smart devices based in part on the looked-up predefined environmental preferences.

A wireless communication network wirelessly receives a device Identifier (ID), network ID, and capability ID from a wireless user device. In response to the network ID, the wireless communication network transfers the device ID to the other communication network. The wireless communication network receives an authorization for the wireless user device from the other communication network. In response to the authorization, the wireless communication network wirelessly serves the wireless user device based on the capability ID. The wireless communication network transfers the capability ID used by the wireless user device to the other communication network in response to serving the wireless user device based on the capability ID.

Wireless user equipment (UE) capability data transfer between wireless communication networks

A wireless communication system delivers a data service to a wireless User Equipment (UE). A network controller exchanges UE signaling with the wireless UE and transfers UE information to a Network Exposure Function (NEF). The NEF transfers network information that indicates Quality-of-Service (QoS) levels and cost levels for the UE to a user data system. The NEF receives user selections from the user data system that indicate a selected QoS level and a selected cost level. The NEF indicates the selected QoS level to the network controller. The NEF indicates the selected cost level to a Charging Function (CHF). The network controller directs network elements to transfer UE data for the UE using the selected QoS level. The network elements transfer the user data for the UE using the selected QoS level. The CHF generates charging data for the UE based on the selected cost level.
