A drive current applied to a coil is reduced from a time at which a first collision signal indicating collision of a movable core with a valve element is input to a time at which a second collision signal indicating collision of the movable core with a stationary core is input.

Fuel injection control apparatus

In the interior of a resin mold portion that constitutes a fuel injection valve, an amplifying member to which a power source terminal and a signal terminal are connected, is provided. A signal transmitting unit, which outputs a detection signal from a sensor, is connected electrically to a substrate of the amplifying member. Further, the amplifying member is molded integrally when the resin mold portion is formed. In addition, a pressure inside a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, which is detected by the sensor, is output through the signal transmitting unit to the amplifying member, is amplified by the amplifying member, and is output externally from the signal terminal.

Fuel injection valve with cylinder internal pressure sensor

Within a resin mold portion of a fuel injection valve, an amplifying member having a substrate is provided. An engagement hole that penetrates in an axial direction is formed in another end part of the amplifying member, and an engagement pin, which is formed on a bobbin of a housing, is inserted through the engagement hole. A second connector of a second signal transmitting member, which constitutes part of a signal transmitting unit, is inserted from below into a connecting hole formed in the substrate. In addition, when the resin mold portion is molded, the amplifying member is retained in a state with the engagement pin and the second connector being inserted, respectively, into the engagement hole and the connecting hole.

A fuel injection control apparatus is provided with a first valve opening timing determination portion that determines a first valve opening timing on the basis of a collision signal that is included in detected signals of an in-cylinder pressure sensor and indicates a collision between a movable core and a valve element and a second valve opening timing determination portion that determines a second valve opening timing on the basis of another collision signal that is included in the detected signals and indicates a collision between the movable core and a stationary core.

A fuel injection valve equipped with an in-cylinder pressure sensor is provided, in which the fuel injection valve is fitted into an injection valve mounting hole provided in an engine, the in-cylinder pressure sensor is attached to a valve housing part of the fuel injection valve, the in-cylinder pressure sensor having a front end facing the combustion chamber and detecting a pressure of the combustion chamber, and a signal transmission device is connected to the in-cylinder pressure sensor, the signal transmission device transmitting an output signal thereof to an outside. The signal transmission device is disposed on the valve housing part and covered together with a part of the valve housing part by an insulating layer. In such arrangement, the signal transmission device is protected by the insulating layer, and a contact between the signal transmission device and an inner face of the injection valve mounting hole is prevented.

Fuel injection valve equipped with in-cylinder pressure sensor

An in-cylinder pressure detecting device of a direct injection type internal combustion engine is provided in which a ring-shaped pressure detection element () surrounding a fuel injection hole () is provided in the vicinity of an extremity of an injector () that injects fuel into a combustion chamber. Since the pressure detection element is provided on the injector, not only is it unnecessary to change the shape or structure of the cylinder head or the combustion chamber in order to provide the pressure detection element, but it is also possible to cool the pressure detection element () by fuel passing through the inside of the injector to thus enhance the precision of pressure detection and the durability. Further, since the ring-shaped pressure detection element () surrounds the periphery of the fuel injection hole (), it is possible to maximize the dimensions of the pressure detection element () to thus further enhance the precision of pressure detection while avoiding interference between the pressure detection element () and fuel injected via the fuel injection hole ().

In-cylinder pressure detecting device of direct injection type internal combustion engine

A fuel injection valve equipped with an in-cylinder pressure sensor is provided in which a fuel injection valve is fitted into an injection valve mounting hole provided in an engine, the fuel injection valve injecting fuel from a front end of a valve housing part into a combustion chamber of the engine, and the in-cylinder pressure sensor, which is cylindrical and has a front end facing the combustion chamber, and a cylindrical signal circuit tube fitted and connected to an inner peripheral face of a rear end of the in-cylinder pressure sensor are fitted and fixed to an outer peripheral face of the valve housing part, housed in the injection valve mounting hole, of the fuel injection valve. In such fuel injection valve, the signal transmission device connected to an in-cylinder pressure sensor does not vibrate within an injection valve mounting hole, thus enabling its durability to be ensured.

A fuel injection valve includes a cylinder internal pressure sensor disposed in the vicinity of a distal end thereof. The cylinder internal pressure sensor detects a cylinder internal pressure in a cylinder and outputs a first sensor signal Ss1 responsive to the detected cylinder internal pressure. Further, a signal processor, which carries out predetermined signal processing with respect to the first sensor signal Ss1 to thereby convert the first sensor signal Ss1 into a second sensor signal Ss2, is disposed between the cylinder internal pressure sensor and a solenoid unit, which is disposed on a proximal end side of the fuel injection valve.

Fuel injection valve

It is thereby possible to atomize injected fuel effectively by logically setting the relationship between the length of the valve seat hole and the height of the fuel diffusion chamber, and the relative positional relationship between the valve seat hole and the fuel injection holes.
