A heat exchanger is provided capable of suppressing formation of frost, thereby achieving enhanced heat exchange efficiency refrigerator. The heat exchanger includes refrigerant tubes vertically spaced apart from one another, and heat exchanging fins spaced apart from another in a longitudinal direction of the refrigerant tubes while being coupled to surfaces of the refrigerant tubes. Each heat exchanging fin includes fitting slots formed at one lateral end of the heat exchanging fin and vertically arranged to receive a plurality of refrigerant tubes, and moisture guide valleys extending vertically to downwardly guide moisture on the heat exchanging fin. Each moisture guide valley includes a first moisture guide valley arranged along a virtual line extending through a boundary between a curved portion of the corresponding fitting slot and each straight portion of the fitting slot, and a second moisture guide valley to guide moisture to the first moisture guide valley.

Heat exchanger

A heat exchanger including a plurality of horizontally arranged tubes, headers to support the tubes and to enable a refrigerant to flow in the tubes, and a corrugated fin horizontally disposed between the tubes, wherein the corrugated fins includes a vertical fin body, flat contact parts formed at an upper part and a lower part of the fin body, the flat contact parts being in surface contact with a top and a bottom of the tubes, and curved contact parts extending from opposite ends of the flat contact parts, the curved contact parts being in surface contact with the sides of the tubes, the fin body includes drainage guides formed outside the flat contact parts in a lateral direction, and each drainage guide includes protruding parts protruding more upward and downward than the flat contact parts.

Heat exchanger and corrugated fin thereof

A heat exchanger which may be continuously mass-produced by press-fitting heat exchange fins into refrigerant tubes and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method includes processing a metal sheet into a plurality of rows of heat exchange fins, transferring the plurality of rows of heat exchange fins through a transfer apparatus, dividing the plurality of rows of heat exchange fins into heat exchange fins in odd-numbered rows and heat exchange fins in even-numbered rows and integrating the heat exchange fins in odd-numbered rows and even-numbered rows through integration apparatuses, vertically standing and aligning the heat exchange fins in odd-numbered rows and even-numbered rows, separating the heat exchange fins in odd-numbered rows and even-numbered rows into a number of heat exchange fins, which may be simultaneously press-fitted into refrigerant tubes, through separation apparatuses, and press-fitting the separated heat exchange fins into the refrigerant tubes.
